A secluded boutique island retreat with luxurious touches befitting an exclusive island resort. Intimate, with only 16 spacious, incredibly private pool villas makes this resort unique. But it is the intangible aspects of this barefoot luxury retreat that sets it aside and offers an indulgent escape for true romantics.

Excellent babymoon at Royal Davui! If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend visiting this island paradise!
The highlights: - The food was outstanding. I read plenty of reviews praising the food beforehand, so I went in with pretty high expectations. Somehow, it was even better than I expected. Every single meal was flavorful and unique. They do a great job introducing variety to the menu daily, so it never becomes monotonous. 10/10 - With only 16 rooms, you never have to worry about anything being overcrowded, finding a chair by the pool, or waiting too long for your meals. You’ll quickly become familiar with all of the staff and likely the other guests, as well. It quickly starts to feel like home! - Snorkeling around the island is top-notch. There’s a great variety of colorful Fijian fish just off the dock, and the water is crystal clear. They provide you with a bag of snorkeling gear to carry throughout the week, so you don't have to worry about returning and fetching gear each time you go out. - The spa is small, but the masseuses were excellent! It was such a relaxing and perfect experience.
The babymoon experience: - Being nearly six months pregnant, I was nervous about traveling to Fiji. Google has plenty of warnings about all of the things that could go wrong, but I faced no issues and quickly felt at ease. - I’m usually an easy-going traveler, but this time I made special requests one after the other to ensure a safe trip. Despite this, they were so accommodating and kind! I felt very cared for. - The biggest downside is that I couldn’t eat the ceviche, seared tuna, sashimi, etc… my husband said it was all great, and my jealousy was real!
This resort is great for couples looking for a romantic getaway!

We just checked out from our weeklong stay and it was exceptional! The staff truly cares about your experience and gets to know you! The resort owners are very hands on and kind, and made sure that we were taken care of when there was an issue in our room that needed attention. In fact, instead of having us wait for maintenance, we were upgraded to a Sunset Villa!
The jetskiing and shark dives were the stars of our stay! The sand cat is also a must!
The food is always amazing and made to order, with a breakfast menu that is truly one of the best I’ve ever had and with lunch and dinner rotating every day to offer you something new. The Komodo is a must try!
We were so sad that the weather wasn’t our friend and forced an early check out on our departure day, but the staff made sure we made it to Nadi well ahead of our flight and avoiding the extremely rough seas forecasted in the afternoon. We would have loved more days with the sun, but everyone made it so wonderful!

My husband and I booked the 7-night romance package through Costco, which included transfers from the airport to hotel and back, three meals a day (excluding alcohol) a couples massage, and a sand cay picnic. The Royal Davui was the perfect island retreat to celebrate our anniversary! The staff are warm and hospitable. We all knew each other’s names by the end of our stay. How I miss being greeted with a friendly, “Bula!” everyday. Music was also a huge staple throughout our experience. We were greeted upon arrival to the resort with a beautiful welcome song, serenaded during our anniversary dinner, and bid farewell before we left. The marine center offers a variety of activities including snorkeling, kayaking, SUP, and jet skiing. The picnic was definitely our highlight! The staff packed a breakfast basket and brought us by boat to a nearby sand cay, where we enjoyed a tranquil and secluded morning swimming and enjoying the view on what felt like our own private island. It was absolutely unforgettable! Royal Davui is the total Fijian experience!

Bula Vinaka Celine Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m really glad to hear that you and your husband had such a wonderful time celebrating your anniversary at Royal Davui. It’s fantastic that you felt such a connection with our staff—those daily “Bula!” greetings truly are a special part of the experience, as is the music and serenading. It sounds like you made the most of the activities, and I’m thrilled to hear the Sand Cay picnic was a highlight for you both (we could not agree with you more!). We’re so glad you chose us to celebrate such an important occasion, and we hope to welcome you both back in the future! Vinaka

I've traveled a lot and this is one of my favorite properties. Christopher and Grant, the owners, have put in beautiful, artful touches throughout and are excellent managers and hosts. With just 16 bungalows it feels a bit like your own private island, but with lovely guests when you want to be with other folks. The food and service is 5-star. Each meal was delectable with dining on a large deck looking out at the ocean under a massive tree, as if you're in a treehouse. The bungalows are lovely with living room and bedroom each opening up onto decks with a plunge pool. The bathrooms are open and huge. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows are to die for - they've been specially made for the Royal Davui! I had a massage which was very nice in a quiet space looking out on the ocean. And we had an amazing experience where we were taken by boat to a private caye about 15 minutes away. The staff brought an umbrella, beach towels, lounge chairs and table along with coolers filled with champagne and breakfast goodies. We were left for 3 hours to have the caye completely to ourselves. What a dream!

I recently had the privilege of staying at the Royal Davui Island Resort with my husband. The attention to detail, the ambiance, and the amenities, from private plunge pools to amazing spa treatments, are unparalleled. The resort exudes elegance and privacy, making it a perfect sanctuary. However, what truly differentiates Royal Davui is its team. Their dedication and warmth make you feel like family, creating an atmosphere where you arrive as guests but leave feeling like family. The culinary experience was top-notch, and the location in Fiji's Beqa Lagoon is simply breathtaking. If you're looking for the pinnacle of Fijian luxury, this is it!

If you are looking for 5 star Romantic luxury on a 8 acre island with only 16 Bure's then this is it. The food is equivalent to premium restaurants in Australia and the seafood is a foodies delight. The Bure's are sympathetic to Fijian culture and provide the 5 star luxury we all like. Balancing these two characteristics has been achieved with perfection. There are many activities you can participate in or just relax by the beautiful pool or read a book in the Bure with complete privacy and amazing views. The staff are amazing and happy to meet any of your needs. The Weather in the tropics can provide some surprises and haw the staff respond and support you is unbeliavable. Grant and Chris will do whatever they can to make your stay an amazing experience. The team make your wedding day something to remember and handle all the paperwork which in Fiji is worth days of your time. We have now visited the Island twice and will most certainly visit again in the future.

From the moment we stepped onto the tiny plane to take us to the Royal Davui Island Resort, we stepped away from our everyday reality and into a completely new experience of this beautiful land and tropical island paradise get away. The whole experience was world class secluded, private and so relaxed. The service was outstanding - The staff were so friendly and attentive, the food was abundant with lots of choices and variety. The Villa had a private plunge pool overlooking the ocean, it was airconditioned and very clean. It was serviced twice a day. There was internet and wifi, a mini bar and filtered water. Lots on offer to do or not. Lots of water sports and a lovely Spa that I would highly recommend. The location was truly out of the way and was a bit tricky to get to as you have to line up your International Flight arrival/departure with the time of the plane and boat to take you to and from the island but we didn't encounter any problems to get there and back. The travel is worth it as when you get there you are truly private and remote. There are many activities on offer on a daily basis and the bar in the evening is lots of fun. What I liked the most was the excellent service and the effort that went in the daily meals which were different each and every day with lots of things to choose from. The thing I liked the least was getting heat stroke and sunburn despite using 50SPF but that's just me...I'm very fare and burn easily. Do not let that put you off as I would love to visit again

I don't usually write reviews, however after our wonderful holiday I feel compelled. It is also difficult, to put into words, just how special this resort really is. Everything at Royal Davui was perfect! We are frequent travellers to many locations across the world, from 5 star to budget and Royal Davui is our favourite. We stayed for a few days as a couple, then our adult children joined us for a few more days, to celebrate our anniversary. The location is amazing...snorkelling and kayaking straight of the beach or jetty in crystal clear water. There's lots of activities to choose from - jet skis, fishing, sailing, diving, hiking, trips to the mainland or a game of volleyball with the staff. Every single staff member was genuinely warm, friendly and went out of their way to make our holiday special. They greet you with a song, serenade you with songs at dinner and farewell you with a song. Most activities are designed for couples, however the staff happily tailored any activity we wanted to do, to meet the needs of our larger group of six, They even sang to us for our anniversary! The food is plentiful, delicious and one of the highlights of this destination. No compulsory buffets or prepared meals. We enjoyed lots of local produce, freshly prepared. Any (or all) meals can be served in your villa if you wish. The best part of this resort is the peace, quiet and privacy. You can enjoy your villa balcony and plunge pool in complete privacy - no one can see you. You have the option of seeing no one for days if you want...or you can venture to the bar for evening cocktails with the other guests and swap stories of your days adventures. To all the staff we say vinaka vaka levu for our amazing holiday and sota tale (see you soon)

This is the best resort, best food and one of the best experiences that we have ever had. The accommodations, excursions and views are amazing. There is good diving and snorkeling right off the resort. The only negative we experienced is they are very strict on the 50lbs total baggage weight limit. The staff will track you down and weight your bag, bags, backpack. If you are over the 50lb weight limit there is a substantial charge, and I am not sure if they are paying this to the charter service or just pocketing the money.

Bula Vinaka Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience with us. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed everything—from the accommodations and excursions to the stunning views and incredible diving and snorkelling right off the island. It’s truly an honour to have been part of creating one of the best experiences you’ve ever had. Regarding the baggage weight limit, our policy of 50 lbs (23 kg) is the limit set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji and is place to ensure the safety and smooth operation of our flights. We’re glad that we were able to accommodate your additional 48 pounds of luggage with a nominal fee of $2 per pound. We make every effort to inform our guests about the luggage allowance ahead of time including detailed information on our website and via emails sent in the lead up to a guests stay, and in your case, we were happy to have discussed your options with you directly as well as via your travel advisor in the weeks leading up to your stay to ensure you were fully prepared, including offering alternative luggage solutions. Once again, thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re so pleased to have been a part of your honeymoon. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Vinaka

Bula Capt_Funkelicious,
The Sunset Plunge Pool Villas do receive the afternoon sun and are complimented with a plunge pool to help you cool down. The bedrooms are also air conditioned when you ready to escape the sun for the day.
Bula Steven,
If you have booked directly with the resort you can expect a pre-arrival form to be sent out a few weeks before your arrival. This form has information pertinent to transfers as well as options to pre-book some of the more popular activities on the resort.
If you have not booked directly with the resort, I would recommend getting in touch with us so we have your contact details on file.
Sadly we're not permitted to post contact details in the forum, so please visit our official website to get in touch with us.

Bula Vinaka Gavinwink,
Weather is always a funny question with Fiji. Firstly, the apps like Weather, Accueather etc really are not at all accurate for Fiji. There are only two weather stations in Fiji - and they are located on the mainland.
The islands have a far different weather pattern to the mainland. Sometimes we sit out on the island in full sunshine looking back toward the mainland which is covered in cloud.
October is a lovely time to travel - the weather is still lovely with warm days and cool evenings.
I hope this helps a little
Bula Justin,
Thanks for the message.
The resort does offer laundry service. Unfortunately dry cleaning not available.
Both private-dining and in-room dining is offered at the resort.
