Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On arrival (16:30 in the afternoon) the reception was unstaffed and I had to inform the restaurant first. I had booked for 2 nights and checked in online in advance. Friendly welcome? Misrepresentation. Instead, I was asked to pay immediately.
The room was very nice, but noisy, which is then especially in the 2nd floor. Night was noticeable as there was a celebration in the restaurant area and the very loud music boomed into my room for several hours.
When I was on Feb. Day afternoon came back from a tour, I thought at first that the room had not been made at all, but then realized that probably it had, because the trash can had been emptied. The bed, however, was not made. Could be overlooked at a hotel with lesser standards, but here...
The breakfast buffet was varied, but 20 minutes after the start of the breakfast all hot dishes (scrambled eggs, ham etc.) were only maximally lukewarm, as no heat source was used or the existing lamps were probably not sufficient for their purpose.
On departure then the same: unoccupied reception at 8.30 am. Then it was good that I had already settled the score.
With the staff ups and downs: some very nice, others don't even feel it necessary to say hello when they meet you in the hallway.

We felt very comfortable in the Alte Posthalterei. We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived and had a very uncomplicated check-in. The hotel is the perfect combination of historical flair and modernity. The rooms were beautifully furnished and very clean. We were able to park in the hotel's underground car park.
The staff were always very friendly and accommodating and the food in the hotel restaurant was also very tasty. We really enjoyed our weekend trip and would love to come back!

Close to Autobahn and plenty of free secure parking. Receptionist could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
We had really mixed feelings about the room -one of the Adelszimmers. The room was large with a high ceiling and was spotless. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night’s sleep. Bathroom was modern. Need to be familiar with person staying with as shower and sink area are not private. The mixed feelings were due to room having no personal touches. Whilst there was a kettle there were no cups and only two tea bags. As this was an upgrade would have expected dressing gowns. There were no pictures. There was no bedside table on one side of bed- this was no doubt because door to adjoining room.
Evening meal was excellent. Can recommend the Schwabteller and the local beer. Good service.
Breakfast was average.
Clean, comfortable hotel at a reason a reasonable price. Room needs some attention however.

The hotel could be nice but everything is ruined by the reception (or not reception) of the receptionist.
We are passing through for one night, we see the hotel on Booking but we are very close, we decide to pass since there were different availability.
We had seen two rooms for 194 euros but the young lady, who never looks up from her computer, tells us that there are no more, she has only two rooms for 1120 euros. We show her Booking shrugs and laughs. The Owner arrives and resolves it claiming to be a disservice of Booking.
The young lady tried, but maybe she shot it a little too big.
No air conditioning throughout the hotel.
The rooms are very hot, there is no air conditioning even here, not very clean. There is no minibar, they leave you hot water in refilled bottles, along with chocolates melted by the heat.
The scandalous breakfast, very low quality products, a girl to manage the room who does not even know which way it is turned but charges a nice 18 euros each despite the reception had said 15.
I do not know what the other reviewers saw: here it is a trap for tourists, rude, without a sense of welcome and fairness.

One thing in advance: the hotel apparently changed ownership in February, which in my opinion also reflects the development in the last reviews. The hotel is also NO longer a romantic hotel, but it still appears that way everywhere.

We booked the hotel 14 days ago as an overnight stop on the way south. After looking at the menu, we immediately reserved a table in the restaurant.

Here after checking in, the first surprise: instead of the menu we had previously seen, we were presented with a leaflet with 3 dishes. When we asked, we were told that there was a party with 80 people in the house today and that they could therefore only offer 3 dishes. It would have been nice if guests had been informed about this beforehand and not presented with a fait accompli...

The food was technically fine, but we were not impressed. We were only able to pay the bill after asking twice, as the effects of the party were already noticeable.

Then it started: our nicely furnished room faced the enclosed inner courtyard. Here the door to the ballroom opened and the entire courtyard was filled with sound from the DJ and the partygoers until 3:00 a.m.

As it was very warm during the day, we had the choice of not being able to sleep in the unair-conditioned rooms because of the heat or opening the window and not being able to sleep because of the noise...

At 3:00 a.m. we complained at reception. The result was that the music stopped, but the partygoers came into the courtyard and chatted loudly until 3:30 a.m.

We can only congratulate them: the change from a romantic to a business hotel has been a success. This hotel is definitely no longer suitable for private travelers seeking peace and quiet. We canceled our overnight stay on the way back.

Stayed for a business trip for 2 nights. Hotel is nicely renovated and very clean and the employees were very nice and helpful. . I would highly suggest that during the summer months the hotel purchase fans for the rooms as the majority of the rooms including ours do not have air conditioning and it was extremely hot in the room. We opened the window however our room faced the courtyard where the restaurant is located so it was very loud until late hours of the night. Having a fan or portable air con unit would make a big difference.

I am utterly disappointed with the customer service I received. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that the staff couldn’t care less. They showed no interest in helping me, and when I asked for information, I was met with blank stares and vague answers. It felt like I was being a burden just for asking simple questions.

The experience was completely ruined by the dismissive attitude of the staff, especially an older man with grey hair. His demeanor was not only unhelpful but downright disrespectful. He made me feel like my concerns didn’t matter at all. I expected a basic level of professionalism, but instead, I encountered an indifferent and apathetic team. This is not how customers should be treated, and I will not be returning.

I stopped off for the 2nd time at this hotel.
This time, I had booked half board to avoid too slow service: it was almost too fast! Good value for money. Despite having again taken the cheaper room, this time there was a small table, which I appreciated.

The house was recently tastefully renovated. The room furnishings are nice, but despite the outside lighting, there are no blinds or blackout curtains at night! And the house is unfortunately thinly soundproof (slamming doors, footsteps on the upper floor, conversations in adjoining rooms).
