Detailed Reviews
We had no great expectations for a short one night stay as we just needed a room on the area. The room is basic and make sure you take your own shampoo and shower gel as toiletries are very basic. The poor rating is more to reflect lack of effective cleanliness, especially at such sensitive time with covid. This really needs to improve significantly. They provided hand sanitisers and staff was wearing masks but rooms must be properly sanitised too.
We also stayed for dinner and the menu is topically Bavarian. Average and nothing really great to comment on.
Breakfast was again something this establishment needs to rethink to be more in line with covid measures. Unacceptable to offer a buffet breakfast and leave a pack of gloves there for everyone to help themselves.
Not very good value for money either at c.90€ per room per night with such premises.
I would not recommend it.

The restaurant is typically Bavarian, the rooms are modern. The renovation hasn’t been accomplished yet but you will enjoy the new and modern furnished rooms. The food is good the breakfast could be better.... additionally free parking and short distance to the highway is also beneficial.

We stopped at this hotel on our way driving through Germany; it is very conveniently located just a minute or two drive from the Autobahn.
The hotel was clean, spacious, and the staff were friendly. We didn't eat dinner here. The buffet breakfast was basic but sufficient.

Excellent for families, friendly, welcoming, helpful and very smiling staff! Free parking, I also brought the dog and they didn't charge me the difference. Excellent dinner, they didn't have 2 dishes on the menu and to make up for it they offered us 2 unexpected and very good salads. I would enrich the breakfast which was a bit basic and without much choice.

Having stayed at this hotel many times, often with a large group of skiers We will not be staying again. We booked direct and were informed the hotel had been sold, our booking was confirmed. On arrival after an 11 hour drive we told the restaurant was closed. Then were told eating options were the Gasthof around the corner or the pizzeria. The Gasthof was fully booked and didn't find the Pizzeria. We would have expected to have been told before arrival we would not be able to eat there. We could see their restaurant had been updated - all the old charm stripped and now modern. Very poor service, would not recommend staying here.

Very good choice for value. Close to Legoland (about 15 mins), easy and free parking, perfect triple room (well renovated). Excellent breakfast. I would come back and suggest it for sure. And Zusmarhausen is a small but quite village.

+1
Pros - friendly staff whilst staying . Mixed grill dinner was of a very good quality meats but extremely salty. Wifi has very good signal & strength . 10 min walk to the Netto super market nearby .
Cons :
Extremely dated rooms & beds are like a park bench ( twin room ) with a flat rolled up pillow & the thinnest duvet you could imagine . Ancient tv's in room - mine didn't even work . No shampoo or shower gel.
Breakfast is a poor continental, bread was like a rubber slipper & no option of a morning fry up.
Crazy part but the hotel has no whiskey , brandy , vodka only thing they serve is the odd table wine which I never tried & the beer which is from the brewery next door . Bar Staff could not speak English & very limited to understanding although polite .
Altho on a business trip so no choice of stay as it was booked by the suppliers, I would be reluctant to staying here again . Unfortunately for me It's one of those hotel rooms that have very bad decor & just put you off in staying in , other then to quickly shower & sleep.

The hotel is not in the official hotel list of Legoland. The amusement park can be reach in a 20mins drive and if you consider that the price of a room is quite low it can be a great bargain.
Gasthof Krone is a good option for this occasion (for 1 or 2 nights) but do not expect too much.

After staying at another establishment in the same vicinity a few weeks previously, we needed to return to Zusmarshausen but could only find space space at Hotel Krone. The family room was what we expected for the price, not big or extravagant. It was clean and practical, sufficient for a night or two. The in-house restaurant served the usual Bavarian fare of Schnitzel etc and was quite good. Breakfast was sufficient. All-in-all, service and facilities were average and we had no complaints, perfect for a stopover.

It was a nice stay in this hotel, especially when looking at the prices of the rooms. Our room was pretty big, it was a family type room which was not that modern but pretty comfortable. Only the bed was hard and there was only a very thin pillow that made the sleep not that comfortable. The service was good, also dinner and breakfast were nice. For the price I would reccomend this hotel to anybody if they are not choosing for too much luxury.
