Family run small Hotel. Centrally located for sites and landscape.
Excellent breakfast and wonderful restaurant. Good wine card.
Knowledgable staff on what to see and do. Good language skilled and friendly staff. Nothing too much to ask.

I don't usually review a structure so negatively, the previous 316 reviews prove it, but unfortunately what happened disappointed us a lot and inevitably influenced our opinion.
Introduction, we booked 4 rooms (1 Deluxe, 1 Superior, 2 standard) about 2 months in advance with a "non-refundable" rate for 2 nights (7 adults + 1 child). Again through the hotel we booked in advance 2 dinners for 7 people plus 1 child at the hotel restaurant (which is a separate management and it shows) and the electric bicycles. All in a quick and professional manner as expected from a structure that claims to be four-star.
The context is that of a family trip to celebrate a birthday, therefore an organized and anticipated trip.
Unfortunately, bad luck sometimes manifests itself. In our case, our 8-month-old daughter falls ill and due to a binding medical treatment we are forced to skip the first of the two nights and postpone the departure to the next day, while the rest of the group arrives at the hotel as scheduled.
Out of good manners and courtesy, the day we discover that we cannot leave (two days before our scheduled arrival), we decide to inform the hotel of this situation, without expecting anything especially in light of the fact that we knew that the rate we had choice was non-refundable. We simply warned that we would arrive the next day.
The person on the phone was kind, said he was sorry and reiterated that the fee was indeed non-refundable. No problem, we simply arrive the next day (this is our thought).
Frustrated by not being able to leave for a much wanted trip and celebrate from the first evening, we still prepared to pack our bags ready to leave the next day (we live a 2 hour drive from the hotel).
The disappointment manifested itself the day before our departure, when the rest of the group reached the hotel.
One of our group jokingly asks the person at the reception to "steal" the Superior room booked and paid for for me, my partner and my daughter at the expense of his Standard room.
The response that arrives also disappoints and shocks the people in front of the reception: the room was immediately put back on sale when I called.

I stayed in this property with my husband and my Swiss shepherd, a very beautiful place surrounded by greenery, very nice and well-kept rooms, even the standard room was spacious.
