Great place on the most beautiful beach of Rarotonga. The house is basic, but clean. Spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen. Nice outdoor seating and only a few steps to the water. Sunbeds, towels and kayaks are included.

In front of the house is a busstop, but renting a car or scooter might be better. A small shop at 1km and a bigger one at 3km.

Great place to relax, enjoy the beach and the amazing sunsets.

One suggestion: a map with some basic information about Wifi, cleaning, busschedule, car rental, nearby shops etc would be helpfull.

I love this place. Quiet away from busy parts of the island.. Great snorkeling, Right on the beach metres from the water. Clean self contained rooms and staff/owners were really lovely. Thank-you Annabelle and Selai and the grounds man whose name I didn't get. Would highly recommend for a relaxing and peaceful Island holiday 🌴

My wife and I stayed at Bella Beach Lodge for 3 weeks in June 2022. We loved it so much we have booked another 3 weeks for next year. This was our 6th visit to Raro over a 30 year period. We have stayed at various well known resorts and privately owned residences in the past. We prefer the 'get away from it all' island lifestyle so particularly chose Bella Lodge which is very close to the water but back far enough to escape any wind and surrounded by coconut palms, paw paw and bananas. Dogs and chooks are part of Rarotonga. The Lodge was very clean, flyscreens all round and self contained. It is much more spacious than the beach bungalows. Annabelle and the staff were great. There is a laid back style to certain things but that again is Raro. Some people are more suited to expensive busy resorts surrounded by tourists. It's great to have a choice and Bella Lodge is such great value and ticks so many boxes for us.

Lovely beach outside the 4 Bella Beach Bungalows.
Check in was a bit strange as no one was there and no note left to say which was my bungalow so just moved into one. Must have been ok as never saw anyone the whole stay?
Bungalow had everything to be self sufficient. No TV in the one I was in but there was in the others but didnt bother me.
No hammocks up like in the photos but there are sun loungers outside.
Water refill station a couple of mins walk down the road.
No food outlets within walking distance. Charlie's was probs the closest place about 5 mins towards Muri.
So either hire a car/scooter or use the bus.
Was charged $35 extra to the rate on booking.com which I assume was some credit card fee, shame this wasnt disclosed anywhere.
Would definitely stay again as liked the privacy of the location.

This is our 2nd time at Bella’s. I love that there are only 4 bungalows. It’s not a busy resort but a self catering piece of paradise. Located in the Southside at the pristine Titiveka Beach- it was the perfect holiday.
The rooms are clean, airy and have kitchen, fridge, microwave and stove. Cooking equipment. Ceiling fan and the ocean breeze made it very comfortable.
The bungalows are on the beach. Uninterrupted view of this aqua waters. Kayaks for your use as well.
The beach is safe to swim, flat and calm. There is great snorkeling around the edges and colourful fish and we even saw a turtle!

We stayed at Bella Beach Bungalows for six nights. We would reccomend, especially for the price. Our host got a bit carried away with watching 'Lost' on the TVs one channel and so we were the only people off the flight with no one to meet us! However he turned up eventually and it was a good introductin to Island Time!
The bungalow was one of four, nicely set right on the beach with a hammock, kayaks and sun loungers. They are fairly close together but still well laid out.
The water out in front seemed to be one of the best spots for swimming. A lot of other places have too much coral.
It was clean and had a TV, good kitchen etc.
We hired a scooter from over the road which was imperative because Bella Bungalows is about the other side of the Island from the town/airport.
Careful on those scooters though. Ours was hired to us with a flat back tyre which we didn't notice until both of us nearly came off within a few minutes of hiring; before we even reached town to get the raro driving liscence! Could have been nasty but my partner is an experienced bike rider and got us out of the situation. The bike was damaged and the Police were right there! It was sorted out quickly and with no problem but it took me a while to feel confident again!
We went to an Island night at the Pacific Resort. Thought it a bit pricey for what it was. Would reccomend looking around for the best one. If you can go to the market on Saturday and taste the local food. We also attended Church (along with all Rarotongans) on Sunday. It was wonderful. Most of the sevice was translated, the singing was amazing. After Church we were invited over the road for drinks & food and socialising. We were made so welcome.
On Saturday it was very windy on our side of the Island and not much fun there so we spent the day watching the local kids playing rugby inland. Really enjoyable!
Overall we just loved Raro. We went on to Aitutaki which we loved even more but if we hadn't we would both rate Raro as the nicest place we have been too so far.

We stayed in the Lodge which is behind the house across the road from the beach . At first when we arrived it looked ok until we stepped inside and the temperature went up 15 degrees , our idea was for my daughter and I to have the single and double in the loft and my sister to have the double bown stairs, well the loft was like a sauna so my sister and I had to share the double down stairs and we had to bring the balcony lounge inside for my daughter to sleep on. The 2 upright fans there were rusty and not working well so we had to leave the balcony doors open at night which meant getting bitten ALOT by mosquitoes. We did ask the caretaker to contact the owner but she was not available. In my opinion this place should never have been rented out at the hottest time of year , there is no cross ventilation and no air gets inside , it was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep in. They need to invest in an air conditioner! Having said that the Bella Beach is a great location for swimming and snorkelling.

We arrived Mar 27 and departed Apr 9. Was an incredible experience. There is nothing at ALL that I can say bad about this place or the people there. We were treated so well, had unreal snorkelling and swimming at the location. Everything that the previous people have mentioned is true, except the person saying the road was loud, it sure was not. Beach is so nice, white sand and lots of shells when the tide goes in and out. We travelled the whole island and found this is truly the best beach of all. Helen was the one who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, she was more than generous and even had her husband pick up fish from the market one day for us. She brought us danishes on another day and the cleaning crew did a great job for the whole 2 weeks. we were so impressed and with our little guy, who was a year and a half, we had a great time. I felt safe and secure there even with a little one. the beach is perfect for kids, no waves and shallow with lots of fish. What can I say, we will be back and had a great time there.

Just stayed at the house for 13 days. It was the second time we had visited Raro and rented accomodation.
Basically we were very disappointed with the state of the house and would not recommend it to anyone. Why?
Run down and poorly maintained. Property needs upgrading to bring it to the standard of others for rent for the same price on the island.
Were told by. Annabelle that it would be cleaned every 2-3 days. First time 4 th day and second time after another 6 days. We had asked for it to be cleaned. Only a basic clean.
Arrived and all cold taps broken. Management did call plumber but blamed it on no renters telling them. Sorry but if you are the cleaner I am sure you would have used the taps and have known.
Kitchen cabinets falling apart. Walls with holes in them because house has never had door stops. Toilet bowl stained. Furniture in lounge broken . Mozzie nets only on bedroom windows and not on rest of house.
Joinery falling apart, had to put tissues around kitchen window and close it so Mozzies wouldn't come in. Oven not working properly, ignitions failing. Only 4 matches left so we had to eat out.
In photos you cannot see that the house has the office attached. Kept having people wandering arouNd house to try and hire bikes and snorkel gear because they left a sign at the front gate.
Gardener was good and tidied up everyday.

Stayed 7 nights here and 6 at Manuai...we were 25m from the waters edge..(check the pic).I havent even camped that close!...the bungalow 1 of 4 was self contained for 2 people, clean and well maintained....all good.

Say no more, but for first time travellers to the cookies here's a few tips:
*2 buses provide transport - anticlockwise and clockwise..timetable is below and will never change..get bus from main road in front of airport..cost is $5 oneway anywhere on the island...other tkts are available...cash only
*we used Go Island car rentals...not far from bungalows.. quick pickup and drop off without the crap... $50per day
*for water just boil it from the tap
*plenty of places to eat...everywhere was pretty good but try the places that you don't get told about! ...explore
*the main supermarket prices for groceries are similar in price to Aus - as was most things...and have just about everything.
*water temp is about 30deg and best swimming is in front of bungalows.
*happy hour is generally 3-6pm ...cockies are $10 beer $5
*surprisingly not many mossies this time of year.
*Bluesky is the island internet provider...1.5gb for 14days $25...other plans available. ..Unfortunately its a bit of hit and miss when it comes to the internet on the island...just keep moving around!

Please ask of i can help anymore...and always say kia arona as a greeting!
