As part of a Collette tour, we stopped for wine tasting and lunch. Hosted by Romano, Anna and their charming son, Matteo, we enjoyed a delicious homemade lunch, several wine tastings and a brief tour of the winery. Absolutely fantastic! If their hospitality for our two hour visit is any indication of what it would be like to stay there, I say run, don't walk to book your stay here. Molto bene!

On our recent trip to Italy we had an experience we believe was one of the highlights of the trip. We were brought into a family winery and given a short lecture on how they make wine. We were then escorted into a large room where the family welcomed us for lunch and wine tasting. A truly memorable experience. The grandmother of the family made us fresh pasta, accompanied with excellent wine, olive oil and almond biscuits. They also offer lodging but I cannot comment as we were on a bus tour. If you have the chance stop in to take a tour.....and I'm sure you buy some of their delicious wine and olive oil.

We stayed in the appartment called La Terrazza for a week in late June/early July. It was hot..! The place is really peaceful. We had breakfast outside every morning. The owners are exceptionally helpful!!! Anna gave advise on restaurants and places to go. She gave a tour of the wine production and we tasted their wine and the olive oil. (with regards to grocery shopping: The local bakery and the supermarket is 1 minute drive away) Highly recommended.

We had the best stay at Tenute di Badia. The atmosphere and special ravioli receipt made the stay wonderful. The family that owns the place are the best hosts ever, and Anna made our stay easy with tips for trips with small children. A bike ride on Luccas ancient walls is a most. It will not be the last time that we take our family for a stay at Tenute di Badia :-)

I cannot begin to thank Anna, Romano and Matheo enough for making our holiday so memorable and enjoyable. The level of care and hospitality is exceptional. Their attitude to customer service is fantastic, and being involved in a service industry myself, their obvious care for their guests, attention to detail and overall desire to provide the best experience possible for their guests was outstanding. The local knowledge from Anna and Matheo was excellent and Anna's help in booking restaurants and tennis courts for us just made everything a little easier. The rustic charm and simple, yet very comfortable accommodation belies an incredibly high level of professionalism and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure their guests are well looked after. We cannot thank you enough for making our holiday so memorable.
