Detailed Reviews
Stayed for three nights to attend a family wedding at Grittleton House. Lovely informal atmosphere, fabulous cooked breakfast prepared to order and extras as requested, very comfy beds with lovely crisp white linen, cosy duvets and soft pillows. My grandson didn’t want to leave as he said the bed was soooo comfy. We had a separate bathroom rather than an en-suite which I wasn’t expecting ( I may have not read the info properly) but it was absolutely fine with plenty of hot water for baths and showers. My daughter and her partner stayed in the room opposite us for 2nights and they agree with my comments above. The B&B is sign posted from the road but the signage could be a bit more visible - it was dark when we arrived and it took a little while to find it. Unfortunately the mobile phone signal is poor but we were ok as the WiFi was very good. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again - thank you Andy

Have just returned from a fabulous weekend festival. The Garden House was brilliant. Cooked breakfasts in the morning, as well as cereals ect. It was about 20 mins from our venue, we are lucky to have found such a brilliant place to stay. We have booked for next year. Thank you so much.

We enjoyed our stay there, very quiet and quaint village. Sarah was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good. Would recommend it to friends. We went to the local pub for supper, excellent food and staff.

just been for another visit to family in nearby village and stayed again in a family room at the garden house.thought it was about time to write a review. yet again the stay was faultless. room was clean and warm, and the breakfast was second to none. that takes care of the b&b side, now onto the actual house. it is set in its own grounds well off the main road and is lovely and quiet, a victorian house that is very beautiful and truly well worth a visit. you are made very welcome and really want for nothing.......... only a longer stay than 1 night

I stopped here for one night only as I had a meeting in Corsham. The room was clean, staff were very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, full english with toast and tea. I would recommend this B&B. Excellent value for money.

Wanting to go to longleat and other places of interest stonehenge cheddar gorge etc and perfect location! Not only that was pleased as we drove into the garden house with the beautiful surroundings! Some people moaned re hearing the M4 which you can hear while outside did not effect our sleep in anyway and would rather a slight hum than a busy road or other businesses near by, waking you.. Beautiful English house.. very quaint! stayed in the family room having two older teenages plenty of room for all.. For two nights and room nicely cleaned and re-stocked while we were out enjoying ourselves.. Breakfast so nice filled us for a day of sight seeing and freshly cooked to order even catered for my fussy. daughter...relaxed atmosphere, plenty of hot water, good food, clean, beautiful surroundings.. For the price you must go! We will be back thank you

I needed simple, cost effective accommodation close to the M4 to break a long car journey and the Garden House proved to be perfect.
I found the property easily even though I arrived late in the evening and it was dark. The host met me and quickly showed me to my room which very comfortable.
The following morning I was served a delicious breakfast and was on my way. I couldn’t have asked for any more. Thank you.

Statues for two nights recently and really liked it. With out the sat nav it could possibly be a little difficult to find but once you know where it is there is no missing it! Very secure, free parking. Lovely surroundings, walking distance to the pub. The owner was very pleasant and Breakfast was better than you can find in most hotels. Mattress is good and provides you with restful night. The water in the shower doesn't have much pressure and so it takes a while to heat up but they do have a booster that you can turn on after.

We spent two nights recently .having driven from Scotland .for the first night. Location is good for visiting Castle Combe and Highgrove. The accommodation. Is comfortable . Good parking on site a little hidden away the guest house but next to an amazing old manor house which is now a private school. We had a room overlooking the huge garden with ensuite shower room and tea and coffee making facilities . The breakfast s were excellent very substantial . It is very good value . We also ate in the local pub in the village of Grittleton within walking distance of the guest house. It is also very good value and friendly. We would highly recommend the Garden House. Wifi was excellent.
