Clean and fresh room. Nice bed. Peaceful and quiet location near the center. There is no elevator. There are stairs to the rooms. The breakfast can be booked and paid in addition, it is ok. Friendly staff. The hotel has its own parking for guests. The hotel is located high up and has a good view.

I stopped off on Backnang for a couple of days to attend an event, and was put up in the Hotel Bitzer. On arrival I felt immediately welcomed and the warmth and hospitality of the host, Monika, literally shone through.
I was late arriving for check in, and needed to make changes to the overall arrangements, but nothing was a problem.
The room (22) was spacious enough for one person, with en-suite. Coffee making facilities, TV, wardrobe, mirror, double bed... all good!
If you go here, remember the power outlets will be European/German ones, so bring an adapter! There are many spare sockets for charging phones/laptops and so on, and wifi is free, too.
I didn't get to sample the breakfasts as I had to be out too early - Breakfast starts at 8am, which for me was about an hour too late. However, other guests staying reported them to be excellent. Given the quality of everything else around me I can't see why that wouldn't be true.
This is not a five star hotel, but is more than comfortable, well positioned and with excellent service. I'd rate it 3 star if I had to make a rating, but that really doesn't do it justice. It's one of those hotels where an overall rating does not give you the full picture of the way the hotel is managed and the facilities on offer.
If you're going to Backnang then definitely consider staying here. I would not hesitate.

Stayed for three days at this hotel. Its main benefit is the very central location. This might lead to noise from the main road which is very close, but our room was at the back so this was not a problem. Breakfast was delicious and staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downside, as with most German hotels, is a reluctance to accept credit cards (although to their credit, as it were, in our case they did, but only after some persuasion).

Pros: Breakfast room and breakfast, coffeemaker in (very small) room Cons: Not enough parking at the house so we had to park our car 15 min away. Although we had left the room early in the morning, there was no room service. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Curtain in the room had stains. Joints of the bathroom floor, so you prefer to walk around with shoes. You didn't feel like the room was cleaned. Bathroom tiny small, room small. The price is absolutely not justified for these services.

This hotel is newly renovated. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and they have nice flatscreen-tv. But the bathroom is so small its even hard to go to toilett. Furthermore they dont have a mini-bar and no pay-tv. Breakfast is ok. And think about to take shampoo with you because they do not offer anything in the bathroom. Staff is very nice.

I was in this Hotel for a business trip. The room was clean and quiet. All the service are ok. There is also a parking free place. Breakfast room is good and the food too. It was a good experience and I will book again a room here for next trip Well done

I loved everything about it, especially the fabulous breakfast! Wow! Plenty of good food, served by the very nice innkeeper. Room were spotless if a little small. The ambiance was very nice. I will go again.
