Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed in a three person room with friends on a snowboarding holiday and found the hotel perfect. The staff are great, the rooms comfy and the food at both breakfast and evening meal great. The bar is very cosy after a day out and the breakfast has enough choice. It's only 25 min to the slopes from here so perfect if you have a car or use the bus that stops opposite.

Just back from a long weekend with extended family. The prices in Alpe d'huez put us off so we decided to try Hotel Oberland. Fantastic little hotel. Very clean with comfortable beds and helpful, friendly staff. The breakfast is lovely (I love the option to boil your own egg!) and we had a delicious fondue in the restaurant one night. I mistakenly thought the bus to Allemond ran regularly and was a bit taken aback to discover it only runs every two hours - meaning we had to be out there for 7.50am. Having said that, we were first on the slopes and had very little walking to do in our boots - the bus is very comfortable (not one of those packed, standing up ski buses) and the station is directly opposite the hotel. All in all a great base for a trip to Alpe d'Huez or Les Deux Alpes.

While we did not stay at the hotel, we had drinks one evening followed by dinner the following evening as a family of 5. On arrival for dinner the staff had a lovely area set up for us consisting of a relaxing section for drinks and the table for dining, ideal for a family with young children. Stunning views. Delightful service. Delicious food. Most accommodating staff. Would definitely consider staying in the hotel if back in the area!!

If you want to sleep at night, RUN AWAY!
Drilling/grower noise more or less continuous until midnight and again from 5am. We reported the problem at the reception after our first “night”, to which we were told “ah good for your room we were never reported”, then, at our request to change rooms: “ah no but it will not change the noise it is throughout the hotel, we have brought a plumber who does not find the solution; we would have to redo all the pipes!”
Given the price, it is unacceptable to “sleep” in these conditions, which are known and hidden from the customer!
Which is a shame because the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast quality. The location is also rather convenient to go skiing in Alpe d’Huez.

I spent 2 nights here in July 2021.
Hotel is in a lovely spot, at the base of Alpe d'Huez ascent.
Very clean and well managed. My room was not so big but with all needed amenities.
There's a locked garage behind the structure where you can safely park your bicycle.
Breakfast with high quality products.
I would defenetely come back if I come to this region again
Thanks!!

Directly across the main road from the bus station and with a car park at the back, it's really handy however you're traveling. Recently very nicely renovated hotel with exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff. Decent breakfast. The lovely bar/lounge/terrace/garden make it a place worth spending time in rather than just a bed for the night. Looking up at the mountains while sipping maybe the best kir cassis I've ever been served was a delight.

The Inn has charm and the rooms are decent: comfortable bed, modern but cramped sanitary facilities. Parking available.
In the room, no wardrobe except 4 hangers suspended from a box and a hook, no space to put the suitcases, no kettle or TV, no air conditioning.
Hard to stay window open to escape the heat being housed on the 1st floor on street.
Staff at breakfast unseemly.

We stayed here for a cycling holiday. The room was of good size and recently renovated in pine. Clean but fairly basic. A good breakfast is included in price. It has a bike shed, bar and beer garden. Staff were helpful and speak gods English. Views are excellent
