Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I felt that the campground was well monitored by good management and administration and that the tent site was spacious, free of stones and rubbish and reasonably flat. The ablutions were a bit dated but that is understandable considering the sandy location. The ablutions were functional and I was pleased to see that the paper towels were topped up fairly promptly when they ran out and the rubbish was emptied. Friendly, helpful service thank you!

We loved our stay. The campsite got quite full but we never felt cramped and facilities were kept clean and tidy. We loved how close it is to the many walks and cycle tracks, not to mention great coffee and cafes

Enjoyed the night we stayed here. Facilities clean and tidy. Although some communal areas were old they were kept clean and extra measures in place for pandemic. Cabin was small but functional and good value for money. Will definitely stay again.

This was our first visit to Foxton Beach and it exceeded our expectations, a very pleasant surprise! The location of the TOP 10 Park is fantastic with the beach nearby and great views of the Manawatu River estuary and the Tararua range from the cosy boat shed accommodation. The TOP 10 staff was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended!

I loved my stay at Foxton top 10, I was fortunate to stay in one of their fantastic boat shed cabins!
Warm and comfortable with a great little decking area for private use with a beautiful view of the bird sanctuary.
The bathrooms are amazing!! Rather than one large older style bathroom block I was impressed to find the modern smaller units with fantastic showers, abs everything was extremely clean with regular cleaning rosters in the cubicles.
The host was super inviting and his team so an excellent job
Can't recommend enough if for whatever reason you find yourself needing accommodation in Foxton.

This camp ground is very clean, tidy and comfortable. The self contained unit is very freshly decorated, love the choice of colour scheme. The queen bed was extremely comfortable, linen felt clean and crisp. Definitely would stay again.

We just stayed here for our annual friends camping trip, we all have kids and they had a ball! Jumping pillow and park were a fave.

The manager Ainsley was amazing, friendly and went the extra mile! She ensured we were happy throughout.

Some of the facilities could do with an upgrade but I hear this is on the cards. Located really close to the nearby park and skate park... 3 mins from beach by car

We paid $99 for a self-contained cabin at Top 10 Geraldine. So compared to the small non-self-contained hut for $108, Foxton Beach is poor value for money. Foxton is a lovely area but the high cost will dissuade us from visiting Foxton Beach again.

Was a very good experience but was very expensive so would expect very good amenities for that cost. When have a self contained caravan and can live off the grid for free, $100 for 2 nights is very expensive. Dumping station nearby was not working and others had little privacy so didn't use. No tap on site given which other camping grounds offer. We expect to travel a lot in next 10+ years but unlikely to use your camping ground because of cost for those in retirement.

the reception/camp ground staff Tina is so nice and friendly. She walked with us and showed us around the site for us to choose our favorite site spot. Nice to have unlimited free wifi which has a good coverage in the site & internet speed. We stayed in a self-contained camper van so we didn't use any of the site facilities except the dumping station and water refill. It's the off-peak season so the site is not crowded and the night is quiet, no heavy traffic noise or party people around.

Sorry, I'm unsure about that, perhaps if you contact the camp directly they will be able to advise.
Answer from Uwe K
Foxton, New Zealand
Hi, and thank you for your inquiry. The charge per adult per night would be $20 and for a child (under 15) would be $12. Kind regards Uwe
