Detailed Reviews
A beautiful lodge equipped with more than enough amenities, clean tidy and all well done. The hosts (Anna and Blaine) and assisting lady are fabulous and make the house a home. Very well priced for what you get and a stones throw from the ocean door.
Hammocks with ocean views, two friendly doggos, beautiful wood work, a wood fired pizza oven, comfortable pillows/beds and clean bathrooms, and to top it all off you don’t even need to wash dishes as there’s a dishwasher! Fabulous.
Thank you for having and accommodating us at such short notice, very much appreciated.

I stayed here for a few nights in December before and after cycling the length of 90 mile beach. Lovely place to stay and relax, nice and clean and tidy. Everything I needed was there and a lovely place to enjoy a couple of rest days before continuing south to bluff. I will be back. Thanks.

We had a great 3 night stay around New Years. Beautiful old building, quiet rooms, good shared facilities and very, very clean tidy and well finished. We read another review that mentioned some rooms get a little hot in summer. We brought our own fan along which made sleeping in ours just perfect. Highlight was home made pizza night around the wood fired oven with all ingredients and great company from other guests and hosts’ friends provided.
We did a lot of walking, running and swimming. No surf this time!
Highly Recommended.

After nearly 2.5 years of traveling all around New Zealand, from top to bottom and back again, I'm here to say that Endless Summer Lodge is my absolute favorite place that I've stayed! It is truly an incredible hidden gem and not to be missed. The house is a gorgeous and charming historic kauri building and the atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. I enjoyed countless chats with other guests and our hosts alike. Whether you're going for a surf down the road at the beautiful Shipwreck Bay, lounging with a book in one of the hammocks in the front yard, playing fetch with the resident dog, having a morning coffee on the front patio or a glass of wine out back under the twinkling lights, or falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean waves, I can all but guarantee that you won't spend a second feeling like you're anywhere other than paradise. 11/10 loved my time at Endless Summer Lodge and would stay again in a heartbeat!

We stayed for only one night but wished it was more. Fantastic lodge, right on the water. Relaxing front lawn with views over the beach, a perfect place for fish and chips in the evening. Room was nice with a sea view. Shared facilities were good, and the amenities such as the wifi and well stocked kitchen were great.
Lovely historic house which has been well looked after.

I stayed here for two nights. Absolutely gorgeous home. I felt instantly that this was a great place to be. Beautiful kauri Villa renovated to high standards. I don't know why Peter had to be so negative so everyone ignore his comments. Anna and Blaine were very welcoming. A nice swimming beach, and they booked me in for the Cape reinga tour which was a great day out. If you want to relax and read a book, this is the place to do it . highly recommended

i stayed here for two nights and was very comfortable.
i had a private room with shared bathroom and everything was clean and tidy.
there was a beautiful & simple flower arrangement in my room but otherwise it was free of clutter and provide ample storage space. there were plugs near the bed.
there was a pretty big shared kitchen and relaxing social area out back. loads of free parking.
all across the very quiet road from beautiful 90 mile beach.

This place doesn't have a hostel feel, it feels like a really nice family home. Welcomed in by the chilled owners it has a fantastically relaxed atmosphere. The beach is just across the road and board/wetsuit hire is amazing value $20 for the day or $50 for the week. Stay here!
