Detailed Reviews
Booked a few days in one of the barns. Was very nice , perfect base if you want to go sightseeing the West Coast of Scotland. The barns are pet friendly and are situated in a country park with waterfalls, gardens and walks. The Barn was well equipped with log burner, washer/dryer, towels and bedding are provided. The nearest town is Port Glasgow where you can find supermarkets, fast food outlets and petrol station. There is also a lovely walk by the River Clyde weather permitting.

Stayed in the East Barn for 5 nights. A brilliant place on it's own but also a great base for exploring the west coast of Scotland.
Accommodation was lovely and cosy of an evening with everything you could need including an Nespresso machine which was a bonus.
On the first day we started looking at availability for 2023 as we have already booked elsewhere for next year.

A lovely place but so cold. On arrival the person checking us in said he would get us some wood for the log burner but never saw him again. The electric heaters were not really capable of warming the place unless you left them on 24/7, which in these times of high energy prices is not an option. Fortunately we brought an extra duvet because it was cold during the night and bought wood even though the website says they provide wood. The floors are not carpeted so glad I took slippers as they were so cold. The bathroom was like an icebox and the shower head needs to be further from the wall, had to almost hug the wall to get under it. Definitely would not stay during the winter, could not wait to get home. The surroundings are lovely but something needs to be done about the heating. I also booked and paid for 3 people, but somehow the booking was noted as 2 and had to pay another £30.

Just returned from a week in the newly refurbished family barn which sleeps up to 6.
Being the first customers to stay here we were a little apprehensive that everything would be working ok and having not seen any pictures we were not sure what to expect, let’s say we were over impressed.
Have to say our holiday was superb, the barn was lovely and finished to a very high standard. All new appliances and fully equipped even had a washer dryer.
We stayed here during the freak snow storm and have to say the owners cleared all roads as soon as was feasible meaning very little disruption to our holiday.
We found all the staff at the estate to be very friendly and helpful at all times.
Would highly recommend this accommodation we had an exceptional holiday here, and would go back without hesitation.

Well appointed cabin, if you will, with all of the comforts of home. This would be a great place to use a base for day trips in the area. We stayed but two nights, travelling in the local area the one day. They can be booked for a week. We especially liked the quiet and the early morning walks in the gardens. One interesting part of the amenities are all of the guidebooks, maps and other tourist information on the bookcase. It seems people have left them there over time. I was not prepared for the Nespresso machine though. An early morning trying to figure that out was a challenge

We'd have preferred a more solid "division" between the sleeping and living areas, but we should have realised beforehand, that it was like that. (All open plan). Didn't stop us having a good time there. Owners were very helpful when we had questions.

This place was amazing. The location , the staff , the accommodation only slight down side was the expected Scottish weather. The accommodation was faultless , there was nothing that the hosts hadn't thought of for your stay. One of our party rang ahead to arrange flowers & fizz for our arrival. The flowers were hand picked from the estate by the owners - they were so fragrant & beautiful.

My daughter and I stayed at Finlaystone for a few days in a small barn and then had all three barns for four nights when the rest of the family arrived. There were three generations of us and three dogs and we had a lovely relaxing break together with lots of woodland walks - especially when the estate closed for the day and we felt like we had it all to ourselves! Very well equipped, warm self catering accommodation with parking, shop and cafe close by. And comfy beds thank goodness! All the staff were friendly and helpful if we had any questions and the children loved meeting the new born lambs and the birds of prey. We got fresh estate eggs and ice cream from the shop and it's not too far into Port Glasgow for food shopping. A scenic drive over to Largs for tea at Nardini's was brilliant as is lunch at One Cove Road in Gourock and great take out pizza's from Toninos in Greenock. We saw a show at the Beacon Theatre in Greenock which was excellent. All in all it suited us down to the ground and we would definitely go back.
