The HARBOR Terrace is a boutique hotel so only a few rooms. We booked a superior room with a sea view. (I think all the rooms have a sea view).
Our room was actually more like a little suite or apartment with a separate bedroom and living room with kitchenette and a huge bathroom. The views were next level and it was a joy to sit on our balcony at the start and end of the day.
The pool on the rooftop is lovely too - if you’re lucky you have views of Mount Fuji and if it’s too hazy you see it anyway as the sun sets behind it.
The hotel has a lovely bar area and restaurant. We had the 10 course tasting menu one night which was exceptional (although make sure you book as some nights they are very quiet and others fully booked) and be aware that the food service starts at 7 and the bar/restaurant closes at 9pm. Also my husband is coeliac which is not common in Japan and despite some initial concerns from the chef they absolutely nailed it.
The staff were delightful and could not have been more helpful

This restaurant has an amazing view of the bay and Mount Fuji. The food was excellent, well prepared, great attention to detail flavors were subtle and clean. Lunch menu price was under $40 for 4 courses plus coffee and one drink. This will be one an annual pilgrimage for me! I will also consider staying at the hotel - 8 rooms with Mount Fuji and sea view!

And a full course of delicious creative French 🥹

It's the best atmosphere, to my wife's great satisfaction.
All the food tasted classier than ever, the staff explained and serviced wonderfully, and the course tasted in a lovely building and location gave me a very nice space and time.

I visited "THE HARBOR TERRACE Restaurant"!
================
▼Majiless review below▼
First use!
This vacation restaurant is usually a restaurant attached to a resort hotel that costs around 60,000 yen per night, but it is of such quality that various celebrities have used it in secret!

Coupled with the feeling of being hidden away at the end of a seemingly empty dead-end alley along the coast of Kamakura, the scenery instantly transforms into an extraordinary space from the moment you enter the entrance!

There are many exquisite dishes that make full use of locally produced and locally consumed ingredients, so be sure to try them out as a daily treat or for an important occasion!

◆Crowd level◆
Use it for Sunday lunch!
At this time, the seats were about 70% full!
Reservations are essential as the menu is basically a course meal!

◆Access◆
From Kamakura Station, take the Keikyu Bus Kama 40 and get off at Iijima stop, then walk 3 minutes.

This time, we went to the foot of Sumiyoshi Castle, just past Zaimokuza Beach in Kamakura.

We came to a restaurant near Wagaejima, the "oldest artificial port still standing in Japan," which was built with the support of the Kamakura Shogunate.

The restaurant is Harbor Terrace Restaurant.
This restaurant is particularly popular in Kamakura and Zushi-Hayama because it serves sophisticated and stylish French cuisine!

This time, we will be enjoying the chef's choice course of 9 to 11 dishes, using plenty of fresh Kamakura vegetables and local seafood! !

◆Harbor Terrace Course (13,000 yen).

▼Pumpkin Soup

The foam in the middle is whipped milk, with a gentle flavor.

The fluffy texture of the pumpkin and the fluffy milk makes it fragrant and delicious!

▼Marinated Yellowtail (Appetizer 1)

Sliced black radish is served on top of the yellowtail. White miso and tofu are mixed on the bottom!

This sauce is a butter cream sauce garnished with herbs. To finish, it is topped with a fluffy liquid nitrogen powder made from yuzu and yogurt.

Crispy black radish, fatty and sticky yellowtail, and mild-tasting white miso and tofu.

▼ Local organic vegetables from Ofuna (Appetizer 2)

Apparently they are sourced from a farm called Rainbows Farm in Ofuna.

The rich flavor of each vegetable is fully utilized.

The bread served is apparently sourced from Pan Presso, a popular restaurant in Zushi.

▼ Milt Meuniere with Burnt Butter (Appetizer 3)

The large milt and hot burnt butter create a blissful texture that makes you feel like you are eating a cloud.

The garnish is also really delicious, with the crisp texture of vegetables combined with the flavor of butter!! ▼Poached threadfin bream with chrysanthemum sauce

The sauce, which combines chrysanthemum and butter, is very pretty and not bitter at all!

The skin of the threadfin bream is crispy and the meat is very plump.

The saltiness is just right, and it goes perfectly with this sauce.

▼Beef from Aomori Prefecture with black pepper sauce

The presentation is very beautiful, and it's art in every way!!

The meat is lean and thick, which is great.

When you cut it into pieces and eat it, you can feel the umami and flavor of the lean meat to the max!!

▼Rice with raw whitebait

A masterpiece that will instantly take you from a French mood to a Koshigoe mood (ノ∀`)

The ginger and whitebait flavors are well-balanced on the hot rice, and it's delicious.

▼Palate-cleansing dessert

Bergamot shaved ice combined with apples, with a strong aroma and deliciousness!! !

There's no better palate cleanser than this cold, fruity ice.

▼Main Dessert

A chocolate sorbet featuring Hiroshima's Ishiji mandarin oranges.

Chocolate and mandarin oranges may seem surprising, but they actually go well together.

▼Coffee and Sweets

The sweets come with handmade canelés and raspberry macarons.

I was impressed by how carefully and lovingly prepared this course was, and nibbled on the cute macarons.

◆◇◆Postscript◆◇◆

Today's restaurant is Harbor Terrace Restaurant. You can enjoy Japanese French cuisine with excellent value for money.

Many of the ingredients are locally produced, and the food is sophisticated and wonderful.

I think this is a restaurant you'll want to visit often.

Give it a try!
