Detailed Reviews
We have just returned from a 2 day stay at Chatworth house. We were welcomed by tea and cake when we arrived then shown to our room, the Lawley. It was a lovely comfortable room and the bathroom was to die for!!
The breakfast was delicious and filling and set us up for the rest of the day until we went back in the afternoon for more tea and cake.
Thank you Christine, Millie and Annabelle for making us feel so welcome and " woof " to Barney.

A peaceful location. A charming hostess who truly cares for her guests. A room that welcomed us with it's warmth and tasteful decor. Fabulous shower room that positively sparkled. A breakfast cooked and presented with love. No hesitation in recommending to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. Having experienced some dire accommodation in the past...thank you most sincerely.

I picked this B&B out of several on the Shrewsbury Tourist Info website. It was a great find giving lovely accommodation close to my recuperating mum for myself and my sister.
The family who run it are really friendly offering great food and a very warm welcome. Even putting on afternoon tea and homemade cake to allow my mum a much needed trip out following her foot operation.
We were so impressed that we definitely plan to return with our 4 young boys for a fun and pleasant visit. :-)

I was working locally for a few months and found this wonderful B&B. Set in a beautiful location this traditional B&B felt like home. I enjoyed every sleep, every organic breakfast and every slice of home made delicious cake served by Christine and her delightful family.
I genuinely didn't want to leave but when I did I left with a new friend in Christine and I can't wait to return to visit her and enjoy the 5* hospitality.
I highly recommend Chatford House for a weekend break, a longer stay or for business, it's just perfect in every way.

We have just returned from a lovely week-end at Chatford House. Christine is a lovely, warm and friendly host. We stayed in the 'Lawley' which was beautifully clean and very comfortable with a lovely en-suite. After a great night's sleep we were treated to a delicious breakfast. I would definitely recommend Chatford House B & B and thanks to Christine and the girls for making the week-end so special.

My friend and I were looking to meet half way between our respective homes for a relaxed girlie weekend of shopping and sightseeing, on staying at Chatford we were treated like members of the extended family in a warm, friendly and welcoming home. Christine (and her daughter Annabelle) invited us in cheerfully and presented us with tea and (very tasty) cake. The twin room was tastefully decorated and the beds very comfortable. We woke to a fab breakfast on both mornings and were able to relax in the lounge. A great place to stay, with three very well behaved dogs too.

We know this area quite well but have not visited for a couple of years. This was our first time at Chatford as we decided to revisit the area. Christine is an excellent hostess and also a very nice person. She is welcoming, friendly and very attentive. The accommodation was perfect for us , quiet, relaxing and also high quality. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to return in spring 2019. Many thanks we shall look forward to our return visit.

My wife and I stayed at Chatford House B&B last weekend. We were made to feel really welcome and could use the house like our own home. Despite Christine and family going to a family party on the 2nd evening we were still able to invite friends to our own gathering at Chatford where Christine left nibbles and home brewed Damson Gin to help our evening go with a swing! Thanks very much.

We stayed at Chatford House for a couple of nights while we attended a family gathering nearby. Christine is an excellent hostess. This is a lovely place, quiet and restful. Very sweet and amusing canine company, too!
We highly recommend it and hope to return some day.

We were immediately welcomed as though part of the family by Christine and Rupert. We stayed in the "Lawley room" which was both very spacious and incredibly comfortable. The en suite was amazing, boasting both a large bathtub and a great shower. There was also a guest lounge downstairs to complete the relaxing home feel.
Christine cooks a fantastic breakfast using locally sourced products, and with all of the toast, yoghurts, fruit and cereals also available you are very spoilt for choice! Christine also bakes amazing cakes and so we always had a piece each when we got back to the room in the evening. To top the entire stay off, the house has got a lovely garden for those summer evenings and to watch Barney and Lara (their 2 dogs) playing around with one another and showing off to us!
Thank you both so much for the lovely stay and for making us feel so comfortable throughout. I'm sure that we will back soon even if just to say hello!
