There are no more superlatives left to crown this lovely place. The breakfasts are something to die for. The gardens are a peaceful hideaway, where you can just relax, and unwind. Gwendda & Clive are the perfect hosts, and nothing is forgotten that will make your stay a memorable occasion.

Lyth Hill House is a b&b accommodation set in a lovely position overlooking the beautiful shropshire countryside. This little gem is a must for those who wish to get away from it all and enjoy the warm hospitality of hosts Heather and Dave. The cooked breakfast will keep you going all day. Another nice little touch was the free chilled mineral water on tap 24hrs a day.

We were made to feel very welcome from the onset and our room was first class. Not only did we have our own private patio giving direct access to a wonderful garden, but a seperate spa bath/jacuzzi in our room.

The hotel has its own heated swimming pool for guests to enjoy free of charge, and as a maximum of only 6 guests are there at any one time you virtually have it all to yourself.

Nothing is too much trouble for the owners who have won numerous awards in the travel industry. I cannot reccomend this enough. It is an ideal base for touring all that Shropshire has to offer. Ludlow is about 40 minutes drive away travelling south and is a lovely little market town.
A 30 minute drive in the other direction takes you to the welsh borders which is very scenic.

The beds were the most comfortable i've ever slept in. There is free internet access and the hosts are only too willing to advise on sights to see and the best walking routes in the area.

If you are looking for an ideal stress free weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life then be sure to book into this peaceful haven. Spoil yourself and stay in room 3 with its jacuzzi and very large bathroom.

We will definitely return to this accommodation as it was one of the best we have ever stayed in. Trust me it is fantasic value for money.

We couldn't fault this lovely house and its owners. First impressions were great from our arrival and tea with homemade scones, delightful bedroom with super bathroom overlooking the pretty garden. We had a really enjoyable long weekend and were sorry to leave this beautiful part of the country. As a bonus, our little dog, Hugo, was made so welcome although he didn't eat the sausage that was so kindly offered to him!
One last thing, the breakfasts were amazing and left nothing to be desired. Thank you Gwendda and Clive, we shall see you again soon.

First heard of Lyth Hill House when it appeared on Three in a Bed a few years back and at the time saved it to my favorites for future use. Apart from it looking a good place to stay the hosts, Gwenda and Clive, came across as the sort of people you wanted to stay with.

When planning a trip round England and Scotland, we decided to make Shrewsbury our first stop and are so glad we did.

We were given a very warm welcome by Gwenda with a tour of all the facilities, followed by tea and cake outside in the garden. Our room (No 3) was luxurious with a 6' bed and a huge bathroom, which has a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. There are lots of extra thoughtful touches.

Breakfast is first class with so much choice and very good quality.

There is a swimming pool which guests can use which is a bonus.

Gwenda and Clive are absolute gems. They are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. They make you feel a part of their home and very comfortable.

Didn't want to leave and the B&B's and hotels on the rest of our journey really have a lot to live up to. Hopefully we will return some day soon

We arrived on a wet afternoon to a warm welcome, freshly made scones and tea and a swim in the indoor pool for which extra towels were provided. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, bright and had a pretty view of the garden.

The breakfast was delicious. Fresh orange juice, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, yoghurt and then whatever combination of English breakfast we fancied.

Clive and Gwendda were perfect hosts and we would go out of our way to stay here again.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere peaceful for our 15year anniversary and were delighted to find Lyth Hill House. We were made to feel really welcome upon arrival and were properly shown around the house. The accomodation was absolutely beautiful filled with lovely little touches that made our stay seem extra special. We stayed in room three with the super kingsize bed (which was sooo comfortable!) and the amazing shower and whirlpool bath! The garden is absolutely gorgeous and I got some fabulous photos of the surrounding area.
I cannot praise the breakfast enough it was delicious and there was so much variety available - I wish we had stayed a few more days just for that!!
Thank you so much Gwenda and Clive for making our time with you so special.

So many places claim to have "disabled accessible accommodation", but this is one that really fits the description. Nothing seemed too much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. From the wetroom facilities through to the beautiful dining room everything was great.

Many thanks to Clive & Gwendda for our recent weekend stay with them. The house is in a lovely setting in stunning Shropshire countryside. Bedroom number 2 was a very comfortable room with excellent ensuite facilities and the fastest handbasin emptying I've ever seen in a B&B! The bed was a delight with the duvet seeming to cocoon you however much you moved around. I can safely say there was a splendid choice of breakfast cereals and fresh fruit. But the highlight was the very cleanly presented and piping hot cooked breakfast of which there were many variants-we didn't need much for Lunch! We hope to return in the spring, because this place is a little gem. Thank you, Clive & Gwendda.

What can I say of this outstanding b&b that has not been said by previous rapturous reviewers?
Our hosts, Gwendda and Clive were charm personified and should be rightly proud of their achievement in running the best b&b that my wife and I have ever experienced. The bedroom (No.3) was beautiful and the bathroom a delight.
The breakfast menu was so comprehensive that one could have a different choice of meal for the seven mornings of a one week stay.
The garden was beautiful and tended with loving care.
We departed with much regret and hopefully will return, if not tomorrow, later this year.
It fully deserves its 5 star Gold award.
Magnificent.
