We stayed in Tui Cottage for 2 nights. The cottage is gorgeous & the deck view totally amazing! Super comfy bed & pillows, well equipped kitchen & good bathrooms! Spotlessly clean. Great communication from the owners! This was a real find & would highly recommend a visit to this area.

We have stayed here numerous times over the last few years and each & every time we feel it is like a home away from home. We have had the pleasure of staying in both the Tui & the Fantail Cottages & both are thoughtfully equipped and beautifully decorated with local artwork. The kitchen has absolutely everything we have needed for a comfortable stay and is generously provisioned. It is a great area to visit & explore. However we often just want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and relax & stay put in the peaceful beautiful surroundings watching the birdlife come & go in the gorgeous gardens & to walk to the beach at the bottom of the road. The beds are so comfortable with lovely linen and the ceiling fans provide a lovely cool temperature for sleeping in the warmer weather. Many thanks for creating such a welcome place to rest and relax in.

These cottages are a little off the beaten track but well worth the diversion. We used both the cottages and they were just delightful. Heather was helpful and accommodating even though we arrived much later than anticipated. We only spent one night here although could well have stayed longer. Fabulous views, excellent accommodation and had everything you could wish for. Would highly recommend, and hope to return one day!

This property is a must stay! Beautifully, thoughtfully and cleverly designed property. Clean, comfortable and quiet even though there were neighbours close by. Well stocked pantry for visitors use. Everything thought of down to make-up removal pads. An early morning " cuppa" on the balcony only makes the experience better.

This place is absolutely located in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We stayed in the tui cottage, which was very spacious and nice, with a beautiful terrace. A truly relaxing retrait!

The photos do not do this property justice. We thought were were getting rustic. We got pure class. We were delighted to arrive at Tui Cottage to find such a lovely place with absolutely anything you could want in it. Beautifully appointed, great beds, space, too many good things to list. Just hope it will be available next time we want to stay, I imagine the secret is out now! Really I think I could live there. We planned to eat out that night but instead bought in so we could spend more time there. Didn't get a chance to use the 'secret spa' down the bush path but a very cute little addition. And thanks to Heather, our host for returning something to us that we left behind.

We had a very quick stay here in Tui Cottage as our first night in NZ! It was fantastic, we loved it! Felt immediately relaxed when we walked in the door, the sounds and the lush gardens were beautiful. The Cottage is very nicely decorated, with everything you would want as a traveller. Great area to explore! Worth the adventure to find the Cottage! Thank you Heather we will return.

I have to agree with every other review, The Cottages are a great place to stay for a few days(or longer). It took us a little time to find the excellent little walk down to the bottom of the bush, but we did see the kiwi in the end.
