Built in 2004 within a ten hectare lush tropical garden on a three hundred metre long beach, the Pandanus Resort in Mui Ne has a large range of facilities and a variety of different accommodations, all designed to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. Adjacent to the long, sandy beach is a huge free-form pool, surrounding an island covered with coconut palm trees. The buildings are designed to complement, not compete with the natural surroundings. The beach is serene and disturbed only by an occasional fisherman in a round pitch basket, or a wind and kite surfer.

The Pandanus Resort is a very relaxing resort with basically everything you need. The resort is well taken care of, the service is great and the restaurant and bars are very reasonably priced which make it an easy choice to eat and drink on the premises. The pool is large enough

We have lived all over the world and enjoyed resorts in many Asian countries. This resort totally surprised and delighted us. This is just the way we love to travel...a true resort, with luscious foliage and a real local feel, but all the amenities of home...without price

Thank you very much for staying with us and for writing a nice review. We are sorry if one of our spa staff members was not as helpful as she might have been. We have relayed your message to the spa manager with the admonition to talk to her staff about being more flexible. When you say that we are "out of the town center", are you referring to the Phan Thiet city center? If so, you are correct. There are very few resorts in the city center. However, we are within walking distance of the town of Mui Ne. The market in the center of town is less than two kilometers from the Pandanus. The Pandanus is a plant that grows in this part of the world, mostly on the many islands between Vietnam and Australia. We have a number of them in the resort. Thank you again for staying with us and we look forward to your next visit.

Spent a night here whilst traveling. Nice enough place, beautiful grounds, nice beach (although of limited use for swimming). Clear deficiencies on the gourmet side. Ordered a sampling of asian and western varieties which where altogether subpar. Service however was good, staff

Thank you for staying with us and for your favorable comments. However, we are particularly disappointed that you did not entirely enjoy your meals in our restaurant, as we have been working very hard to improve all our dishes. Most people prefer the type of mattresses we have in the resort. When mattresses get old, they become soft. If they were soft, people would not be able to sleep as well as when they are new and firm. Also, your comment about our sheets not being the correct size is very curious. Of course they are the correct size. Our in-house band performs in the resort until 22:00, not until 23:30 and we have a policy that any private parties must not make any noise in the resort after 22:00. So we're not quite sure what "karaoke party" you were referring to, unless it was noise coming from outside the resort. If so, we apologize. We are happy, however, that you decided to give us a three star rating, as all other reviews you have posted on trip advisor were only given one star.

Review collected in partnership with this hotel
The beautiful grounds of this hotel are accompanied by its lovely beach. The hotel is some way out of Mui Ne but is right by the red sand dunes. The food was rather mediocre, with the seafood buffet a particular disappointment. The tennis court is in really good condition, though

Thank you very much for staying with us and for suggesting that you might return. We, of course, are disappointed that you thought our food was not as good as you would have liked. We are constantly working with our chefs to improve the food and as you can see from most of the reviews, the majority of our guests think that it is quite good. Although it is impossible to please everyone, as tastes vary from person to person, we are trying to create a cuisine that as many guests as possible can enjoy. Your statement that the Pandanus Resort is "out of Mui Ne" is not at all accurate. We are about as close to the heart of Mui Ne as is possible without being surrounded by homes and businesses. The market in the very center of town is just over a kilometer from the resort and much of the town is within easy walking distance. If you 'google' the map of Phan Thiet and the city's ward of Mui Ne, you will see that our location couldn't be more central, whether you are referring to the community or to the ward. Mui means cape in Vietnamese and the Pandanus Resort is located on the east side of the cape.

The Pandanus Resort owns two new 16-seater minivans that pick up guests from anywhere in Ho Chi Minh City, just contact the reservations department to arrange it. The hotel has a small giftshop in the lobby where you can find post cards, maps, sun lotion, some snacks, small souvenirs, bathing suits and bikinis, and clothes made by the hotel's tailor shop, as well as scarves and other traditional clothing articles handcrafted by a Cham lady who weaves in the hotel lobby, behind the Cham musicians who welcome guests to the resort, and also takes care of the store. There is a small store across the street, but most people in Mui Ne, especially the locals, find and buy everything at the market in the center of Mui Ne, about 2 km from the resort. The resort offers a walking tour every morning that ends at the market, and a free shuttle at 09:00 every morning. Local buses leave across the street every 20 minutes and stop at the market about 10 minutes later, but you can also use the complimentary bicycles available at the hotel lobby to get there in less than 10 minutes. There are about a dozen small local restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance outside the resort (which has itself two restaurants offering a good choice of both Vietnamese/Asian and international cuisine). Around and inside the Mui Ne market you will find many street food vendors and in the evening it is quite a happening place for the locals. Around the harbor overlook Bo Ke Mui Ne), about 3 km from the resort towards the end of the town of Mui Ne, there are about 10 seafood restaurants offering a wide selection of fresh fish and shellfish, and there is also a small pizzeria managed by a French kite surf instructor ("Source") where you can find a variety of salads, burgers, galettes and crepes and enjoy a glass of wine upstairs with a great view of the harbor and the many lights on the bay.

Sorry for not responding earlier. The only golf course in the area is Sea Links, which in Phu Hai ward, about ten kilometers from the Pandanus. It takes about ten minutes to get there by taxi.
