Myself and my husband and 3 children waited here for 3 nights as part of are staycation around Ireland what a little gem this place is...we had interconnecting rooms which were spacious extremely clean and everything you need towels toiletries and water are replaced every day and left outside the door.

Hand sanitizer is placed everywhere and we felt very safe you have to book breakfast, Dinner and the pool but we had no problem reserving any of the above we were really impressed with the staff everyone from the minute we entered till the time we left couldn't do enough for us.

We will be back 5*

We had a great stay in this hotel, I'd highly recommend. Great service, lovely helpful staff in difficult times. Breakfast had a huge variety to suit everyone's needs and staff couldn't do enough. Daughter loved the pool and never to busy secondary to Covid 19.
Great location for touring parts of Cork, kids didn't want to leave. Room was close to what sounded like an air conditioning system which was loud until 3am and started again at 6am so maybe ask for quieter location if you've low tolerance for noise! Lucky for us my son likes white noise and it helps him sleep so always a positive to be found. Thanks so much for a staycation to remember. 😊

We would definitely recommend Charleville Park Hotel.

This is a fantastic hotel to have a family staycation. We were welcomed so warmly from our arrival and our time throughout.

The hotel has every possible COVID-19 safety precautions in place and are proactive about their implementation which made us feel very safe. This was quite important to us. From hygienically wrapped knives & forks at breakfast time, social distancing throughout, allotted time slots for the swimming pool, hand sanitizers everywhere, temperature checking on arrival... we certainly felt protected and safe. Well done Charleville Park!

The staff on reception could not have done enough for us. They made our daughter Grace’s little holiday feel so special especially after being home for so long and seeing no one. Rose and her colleague who were on reception are an asset to the hotel and have left happy memories firmly engrained in my daughter’s memory with the help of a little ‘Big’ Monkey.

Even though the hotel staff were wearing masks I could still feel how friendly and warm they were to everyone. Not even a mask hid their welcome smiles.

Thank you for such a wonderful visit. We’ll be back.

Found checking in staff member to be very snappy and short. Not so much rude but very little patience and gave the impression of not being so happy to be there. Ordered a certain type of wine from a member of staff at one point which we recieved, asked for another glass of the same wine from a different member of staff only to be told that there was no more of this wine and that we only had the option of this organic brand (which we did not like). The previous staff member brought us the original wine we explained we were not happy. Overall it seemed most of the staff were students who were partime workers who really seemed in bad form and did not care. At breakfast after having our cereal and juice we were queuing for our full Irish and we had to go back to our table at 2 different occasions to stop 2 different staff members taking away our toast, tea and coffee. Rooms were very comfortable and clean,a full time member of staff noticed my pint of beer was very flat and exchanged it for a bottle of beer without me asking which I was happy about! Sorry if I seem forthcoming but at €120 for a night I was expecting a bit more of a profession88alism

Wasnt happy with the service at all. Poor experience for such a high price. Couldnt book into things because we didnt recieve our email until i rang about it the day before. When i asked could we use the pool one evening the fella said no its fully booked and there was 3 people in the pool. Had food twice service was very poor. Rooms were serviced once, all they did was make the bed, not even a toilet roll was replaced or towels for that matter. I could go on and on.

We stayed 4 nights 2 adults 2 kids and then my parents joined us for 2 nights age range from 70 to 5 years and all six couldn't have enjoyed it anymore then we did. The staff are unbelievable from reception, leisure club, kids club, breakfast, bar, restaurant and house keeping they are so friendly, helpful and professional with the highest standard of safety for their guests allowing us to relax and enjoy our holiday knowing we were in safe hands. Our room was lovely and spacious particularly the bathroom. Every morning house keeping left a sealed bag with fresh towels 4 bottles of water toiletries and restock of tea/coffee etc. The pool is 25 metres with a fine kids pool. Temperature taken at entrance and again guest safety a priority. The kids club is just fantastic at 6pm high tea is served (kids menu excellent) then movie at 7 with little treats. If you choose just to go for the movie that's fine too you can bring the kids down at 7 til 9. We visited fota wildlife park which was fab, however Doneraile is a must for all ages beautiful walks, feed the wild deer (bring carrots or nuts)lovely playground there too and only around 20 mins from the hotel. We will definitely be returning.

No holiday this year due to Covid so took advantage of Autumn Family offer to spend three nights before kids were back in school. Kids are young teens so option of interconnected rooms at very reasonable price for B&B was perfect. All Covid measures taken so felt safe yet done in such a way that it never felt awkward or overbearing. Rooms spotless and ample towels, toiletries and water supplied regularly. Pool also clean and well managed with temp taken on entry. Very friendly staff with a special word to Owen in the bar who was very helpful. Good gluten free breakfast and awareness of Coeliac needs, an important consideration for us. Well located for mountain biking in Ballyhoura and for some aqua adventures in Ballyhass lakes, both of which we enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderful staycation!

Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!! Every member of staff is so so friendly and every request catered for with a smile on their face.... and as we were travelling as part of a large family there was quite a few requests, bless their patience! We were made to feel so welcome we actually felt like royalty at some stages! Food was absolutely delicious and a great variety to choose from. We were made to feel very safe given current times with plenty of hand sanitizer and precautions put in place. Kids had an absolute blast and were made to feel like vips too, was quite the challenge getting them home. Kids club and the pool were brilliant!! Seriously if you are thinking of going anywhere this summer this is the place to be!

Nice hotel the staff really make this place they have all been fantastic and friendly the food is good we only at bar food so cant comment on the restaurant. Now the reason I didnt give 5 stars 1. I emailed the leisure centre on Friday before our arrival to book the pool for monday so our stay could be stress free I again emailed on saturday to confirm and got no reply we arrived for our swim on monday to be told we have no booking and we could use the pool but we couldn't use the changing rooms and would have to walk through the hotel in swim wear which was a big stress on my partner and daughter who are very self conscious about their weight this could have been easily avoided if the booking email was checked I sent it twice like🤷🏼‍♂️ 2.After breakfast on monday I pointed out the hand sanitiser entering the lobby lift was empty this was probably the most important sanitiser in the hotel and it was still empty 24 hours later after breakfast this hands since been refilled Overall though we really enjoyed our stay albeit a little different with the covid restrictions . Five stars for the staff 4 for the overall experience thanks guys 👍

Dear 912jaym, Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to the Charleville park hotel. I am delighted that overall you had a very enjoyable stay and i have passed on your kind words to all the team. I have also looked into your feedback regarding the Lesiure club bookings, and i do apologise that your second email was not replied to, upon investigating the matter we discovered a reply was sent to your original email however the seconfd email was not, and for this i offer my sincere apologies. Due to numbers being restircted due to to changing room capacities we can not allow any extra person use the facility if it breahes the capacity guidelines in place. I totally understand the option offered to you was not ideal at the time and the option of returning at an alternative time should have been offered. Thank you for forwarding your feedback and we will ensure we action all comments. We do hope to welcome you all back again very soon. Kind Regards Michael Boyle General Manager

We booked this hotel after a add kept popping up on my Instagram under the guise of a "fota Island" family stay we actually presumed from the way it was advertised that it was actually the fota Island Hotel we were staying in ,this is what the add would leave you to believe. Upon going through the booking system we discovered it wasn't really a family of 4 deal like it said because there was only 3 beds in the room so someone would have to go on a camp bed, we weren't going to let one child have a nice hotel bed and the other to be stuck on a camp bed so now the original advertised price of family overnight stay went from €159 to €250 to make sure both kids had a bed. Upon chatting to people who had been to fota Island we discovered the hotel was not the actual fota Island hotel which was fine untill we discovered the hotel is 1 hour and 15 minutes away from fota Island. So we now had to drive the 2.5 hours from Dublin to the hotel pay in full on arrival to be allowed the tickets for fota Island but not be allowed see our room to get back in the car for a further hour and 15 minutes to get to the fota Island and the same to then return to the hotel. I think its pretty bad form to be gearing this fota Island family fun overnight stay when the hotel is nowhere near the amenity they are giving you the tickets for ,more time is spent in the car then anything unless you happen to live in Cork. The least that could be done is some arrangement for the park tickets to be left at fota Island or posted out to the guests to save such a trek. Apart from that the hotel is nice to look at the food was nice however we had a dinner booking at 8:15 we were asked not to leave the table for service due to the covid fair enough ,however we had no choice as we were ignored the entire time after 20 minutes of sitting I had to go ask for food menus no joy another 10 minutes had to go ask again when we finally got menus 2 were given and no kids menu again not really gearing toward this "family" stay ,we all ordered off the main menu again had to get up and find someone to order drinks and again to ask for dessert when we finally got attention to order our desserts we were told we couldn't have any because the kitchen was closed, absolutely ridiculous that no service was given but then when we chase it now to be told no you can't have it . We were all extremely disappointed in our stay all in all and although the rooms were OK again to look they were uncomfortably warm and the beds extremely hard. Really don't think this hotel should be used as a base for fota Island especially for families with small kids as the travelling to and from is ridiculous.

Yes, 3 p.m. is the official check-in time, but I found them flexible. If your room is ready, you can usually check-in earlier.
