Detailed Reviews
Maybe because we have been coming to his hotel for more than 8 years, we still have memories of the way it used to be, so this year when we came during the last December school holidays, we were a bit disappointed by our experience. That is why this year, I have given a 3 star rating, rather than at least a 4. We have always chosen a hotel room at the center with the option "pension complete" (full meal service), although the center also allows you to rent apartments. As the years go by, the hotel doesn't seem as nice as it used to be.
- Before, we used to have free snowshoeing outings every day (when we went this year, showshoeing was limited to 3 times a week, weather permitting).
- The director at the hotel used to know us by name and tell us where the supplies were if we ran out of basic things you would expect from a hotel like toilet paper (this time around, the new director told us we had to buy our own supplies if we ran out, which the main office I had called to confirm this told us was wrong of him to ask of us). (Note that the hotel only supplies a couple of bars of soap in the shower, so bring your own shampoo.)
- Before, the hotel used to invite outside performers to entertain the guests. Now, only the animation team entertained us at night and on the last night, the kids in the kids' clubs put on the final show. While the staff and the kids did as a good a job as they could, it wasn't the same as having a local musician or poetry reader come to mix things up a bit.
- The restaurant manager used to seat us in the main dining room for the holiday meal, as she knew where we liked to sit every day. This time, the staff had forgotten to make a table for us, so we ended up in a side room with hardly any service or apology for what had happened. That soured our holiday meal a little, even though the meal itself was very good (unlike in previous years though, you only had the choice of a red or white bottle of wine at the table, and not both).
- A small detail but there was a woman who seemed a bit grumpy working at the bar occasionally. We were convinced that when you asked for a decaf coffee, she still gave you a caffeinated one because she couldn't be bothered to take the time to change her usual routine. We learned quickly to ask the man who worked there for our coffees because he had a better sense of customer service. Unlike in previous years, the hotel has stopped serving coffees with a speculoos biscuit. Another example of how the center has been tightening its belt.
- The ambiance was very French- music, entertainment, guests, etc. The only non-French at the hotel when we were there worked in the hotel restaurant (Bulgarians and one English guy). Fortunately I speak French, but if you don't, I'm not sure how much you would be able to know about the daily activities, as unlike in previous years, not all the activities were listed on the printed program. I believe the activities director told me he could speak languages other than French, but I never heard him do that during my stay.
If you can get a discount through your insurance company or travel agency, you really get what you pay for. Our room had a bathroom with a sink and shower, a separate toilet, a small corridor with a bunk bed for the kids, a main room with 2 single beds, a small desk and 2 chairs, and a small balcony with a drying rack. Heating in the room worked great. Note that the cleaning lady only came once during the middle of the week to change your towels and freshen things up a little. There's also a hot tub and sauna in the hotel that you can buy tickets for, but we never tried it. You can also get preferential rates to the public pool down the street through the hotel. Some other things that haven't changed about the place: the welcome drink and meeting on your first night, hot red wine on another night and crepes as well, the hotel mascot Poupie (sp?) and the hotel group dance (similar to what Club Med does). Activities during the week also include a visit to the cheese factory in town (for a small fee) and complimentary exercise classes in the mornings (even though the hotel itself does not have a gym).
Really, the best parts of the holiday were the direct access to the ski slopes (just outside the door) and the kids' club (the animation staff, many of whom have been there in previous years, are adorable). We lucked out this year and got a room on a high floor with a view over the slopes, but if you want to assure yourself a particular room, you have to pay to reserve it now. The hotel has made huge improvements with their Wifi, which you can only access from around the bar area. The restaurant also serves traditional Savoyard dishes (raclette one night during the week) and soups and pasta for lunch and dinner if you think some of the proposed adult meals look a little dodgy. Complimentary red, white or rose wine is always available at lunch and dinner. Another plus is that the complimentary transport to neighboring towns in the valley is within walking distance as well as the public bus that takes you to the closest TGV station, so you don't necessarily need a car.
We hope that next year, we can kick the rating back up for this place. We'll see.
Bonnes vacances!

Mileade val Cenis too small, no room to participate in activities at the bar, the reception is in the same place as the bar on a poor little desk.
The meals were good but starters and desserts had little variety and were not very good.
I rate it well because the staff was really friendly, smiling, outgoing and attentive, whether in the children's clubs, kitchen, bar, restaurant, reception.
Another big downside is the smell of sewage, I spent a week with a nauseating smell, it deserves a reduction.
After value for money for a week in full board for 4, it's really affordable so don't ask too much

Before arriving at the hotel I was apprehensive about the teen club because it is not always easy to find active members and manage them. When I arrived, I found the facilitators super pleasant, a good welcome (thanks Jean Christophe) well chosen and captivating activities. For my case I would talk about the teenager managed by François who was a great club manager, always with a smile, gives his all to what he does, always a little dose of humor that makes you smile. To complete it Tristan a super friendly person who will relax the atmosphere and a big ice cube eater.
To talk about the rooms, they are well equipped and clean, thanks to the housekeeping team.
The restaurant is good with a variety of hot dishes and the same for desserts. The only weak point is that the starters may not be the best.
To sum up, a very beautiful place with great staff who know how to bring a smile, great shows and it shows. Quite decent rooms and a well-served restaurant, perfect breakfast, lunch that met my expectations, very good dinner, maybe some starters to change but nothing serious.
I recommend.

Very pleasant stay from February 3 to 10, a special mention to John for his kindness and his great professionalism in terms of entertainment.., thank you also for the catering..on the other hand a huge red card for the director of this club who did not see fit to inform vacationers that health analyzes carried out showed a level of legionella higher than normal during this week...it is true that even the word hello was difficult to pronounce for this lady...so warn we can always wait...she forgets that among the people present at the club there were children and elderly people...For your information, Legionnaires' disease is a disease that attacks the respiratory system. This way of acting is truly incomprehensible. .Alerting vacationers should have been his priority..This is inexcusable..

Family trip from 9 months to 60 years old everyone happy and satisfied rooms nickel meals nickel organization nickel
I recommend both the hotel and the apartments since we experienced both. Bravo to the director and the atmosphere of her team: it’s good to meet such considerate people. Don't forget to leave them a little something: none of you asks for it but it encourages them, I'm sure, to continue loving their neighbor!

I had a great stay as a teenager, even if I had some doubts at the start, partly thanks to the facilitator François of the teen club who always made sure that we had fun and that the We meet people to have the best possible stay.
There is also Tristan who has been with us quite often and who is as caring and fun as François. They were great entertainers 👌

A very good village club. Very good facilities, very good location and quality children's club. Very very good value for money, we recommend.
Only WIFI access needs to be reviewed. What a shame to see the network saturated from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in high season.

This was our second stay at the Mileade club in Val-Cenis (Lanslevillard); it is a very good choice for the quality and choice of hikes offered each day; our children were looked after by a team of attentive and friendly entertainers; one downside: the baby club restricts its reception capacity during busy periods and has limited its reception capacity to 5 half-days, which led us to find another paid day care method for our 2-year-old daughter, which was not initially planned in our budget.

Very warm welcome from the whole team.
Smiles and friendliness were there.
Hikes of all levels are at the top with passionate and exciting guides.
The catering is good and varied.
Small problem, a swimming pool is missing but the wellness area is at the top 👌
I highly recommend this place.

Bonjour
