My wife and I stayed at Point Grace Resort (a beach front property) for 4 nights in March 2020. Outstanding in every way. The resort furnished complimentary beach set up (beach chairs and umbrella), mask, snorkel & fins, hobie cats & bicycles. Great pampering. Last but not least excellent food choices for dinner at the on site Grace Cottage. We both highly recommend.
OVERRATED and OVERPRICED! I just don't understand how this property has earned such praise on TripAdvisor. The customer service here is some of the WORST I have ever experienced. The rooms and balconies are beautiful, although the walls are thin from a noise perspective. Overall, the property is fine, but to say this is a five star resort is a travesty. Here is an example of the level of customer service, and it wasn't even my experience. I was trying to make a dinner reservation at reception one afternoon when a guest came back with one of the bicycles provided by the hotel that had a flat tire. He informed the concierge that they had taken out 3 bikes today - two had the chains come off and this 3rd one had a flat. He told the concierge that for $2,000 a night, he expected way better. The concierge responded, "Well, we will just have to agree to disagree!" I had to laugh because I couldn't have agreed more with that other guest. The service here is a ZERO. The terrible service has been consistent throughout the property - from the front desk, to the pool bar, housekeeping, and the concierge. Upon arrival at 3:45 (an hour after we were supposed to arrive), we were told that our room wasn't ready, but would be in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later someone came to get us at the pool. Not really a problem, but why not just tell me the truth to set expectations properly? One night, my daughter called the front desk at 8pm for another blanket. They never brought it. There are 35 rooms here, so it's not like they are overwhelmed with requests. The light in our foyer doesn't turn off - it just switches from turning on one light to another so we had a light on all night. They fixed it our 2nd day, and by the 3rd day the problem was back again. We stayed here using Hyatt points, as this hotel is associated with Hyatt through small luxury hotels of the world. As I have written in many of my other reviews, we are huge fans of the service at Hyatt resorts. Last spring break, we stayed at the Park Hyatt in St. Kitts, which was one of the most amazing beach resort experiences of our lives. This place doesn't come close to living up to the Hyatt level of service, and I hope they rescind their association with Point Grace. Travelers who are accustomed to the best service in the world will be incredibly disappointed with their stay at this property.…
One of my friends who had a condo here recommended Point Grace as one of the better places to stay. I would come back here in a heartbeat if only because it is so wonderfully uncrowded and peaceful! Our cottage had more amenities than I imagined we would have including turn-down service, nightly bottles of water, beach towels, bathrobes. etc. This place is up-to-date, comfortable, and has nice food and a spa. Great find.
This was a retirement vacation for our family so we were looking for the ideal spot to celebrate. Our goal was to find a quiet spot on a beautiful beach with enough ocean-front space for 5 of us with all the amenities of home. Not only did we find the perfect spot, but it greatly exceeded our expectations. The servers learned our names and welcomed us at breakfast each AM, the pool/beach staff had us set up with umbrella/chairs by mid-AM arrival and our 3 bedroom/4 bath unit was all we hoped for. The new fitness center also served our needs and with only 28 rooms, was never crowded. Also close enough to downtown to walk to restaurants & grocery store. We walked the length of Grace Bay beach and confirmed Point Grace is unmatched. Only downside is Grace’s Cottage price range seemed high.…
There are so many choices when it comes to ocean front on Grace Bay TCI. A $28 taxi ride gets you to the resort from the airport in around 15 minutes. As soon as you pull into the palm lined drive you’ll get a glimpse of the turquoise waters that await. We were pleasantly greeted and given a brief tour of the property along with a welcome rum punch and a Turks Head lager. Our room was a spectacular one bedroom facing the ocean. You’ll hear the waves lapping the shore with a rhythm that’s sure to get you slowed down to island time soon. The balcony was our favorite amenity, though two separate bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen was nice. Plush comfortable beds and so quiet in the room it felt like we were the only ones here. The pool area is a lush garden shaded with palms and a walk up bar serves any beverage you desire. The beach is just as everyone describes...white sands, blue water, excellent staff enticing you with fresh fruit skewers or sorbets. You can order from the Grace Cottage restaurant at the beach or pool, but expect close to an hour before you get your order. Drinks flow slightly quicker but be prepared to pay handsomely for both. You’re within short walking distance to Hemingway’s (try the curried shrimp and the breakfast was cheaper than any meal we had on the island). Sibonne was decent for the food and the quaint ocean front dining room. A longer walk will get you down to Grace Bay resort if you feel like dancing to DJ music on the beach. Overall this was a beautiful place to stay and recommended if you’re looking for a quiet resort!…
