We booked a 2 bedroom villa and the views were spectacular - Plenty of space, 2 bathroom so we all had our privacy, double sliding glass doors with balcony seating. We used the pool day one, but it was beach life after that. We had a private staircase that took us down to a cave that was absolutely beautiful. Had coffee in the cave every morning, left the sliding doors open (screen) to hear the ocean and take in the breeze as it came in! This resort is close to so many things to do - grocery store (Very clean and nice), multiple restaurants, all within walking distance! Mullet Bay Beach is amazing and is also within walking distance.

We stayed here for the first time as an VRBO rental. The room was beautiful, well equipped, and up to date with handicap assessability. The grounds, however, needed a lot of TLC. The pool was like three floors down and the only way to get there was by cement stairs on the outside of the building some of which did not have any handrail to hold onto. There are no bathroom facilities down by the pool so if you have to use the restroom you have to go all the way back up to your room . The pool has been newly renovated, but has no railing to go in or no stairs go into the pool, or any ladders. There is a second pool which is not in use currently as it is being converted to saltwater and under construction. There is a beautiful spiral staircase that leads down to the beach. However, the edge of the property along the beach side has a very steep cliff down to the beach with no railing whatsoever and can be dangerous especially two small children. The outside of the buildings definitely need a good cleaning and / paint job. . It looks rusty all over and moldy.

We stayed at Rainbow Beach Club last march, we booked directly with an owner of a unit it had a ocean and pool view on the third floor. We had three young children with us. The pools were never crowded, the local med students and seniors that live here all the time were super friendly and gave us lots of tips on the area. The beach is a bit of a climb down and up on the stairs but worth it, the beach isn't huge but barely anyone there. Our rental owner provided beach chairs, toys and towels so we carried everything down. We also had a rental car for three days, we did travel the island and visited a few other popular beaches but honestly the Rainbow Beach suited our needs. There are great restaurants nearby, the university is close by so there are lots of choices for food. The Green Monkey was our favourite place for a burger. A lot of folks speak about crime in general, we did notice a lot of security around. At dusk and early evening we did walk to nearby restaurants, we never had a issue, there was still lots of other tourists and students walking around but there were also property guards and dogs out in force around at night which did make you well aware that there are issues. No to be clear I wouldn't advise walking around late at night especially alone. We stayed close by and the latest we were out was 9pm because of our kids. As mentioned we rented a car which we left empty (including the trunk) and doors unlocked at all times. We did this from advise online we didn't want the car to get damaged if someone wanted to get into it. Yes it sucked to drag everything with us but at sametime it was nice to not worry about the car getting broke into. Back to Rainbow Beach, is it worn a little and needed paint? yes. Are all pools pristine? No, but one was the others had 'pump issues' so they weren't as clear, Im guessing building management are attempting to save money and are dragging heals about getting things fixed. The pool furniture is new and pretty comfy. The condo we stayed at was comfortable, clean, and well cared for by local owners and they were very helpful with any questions we had. If your a budget minded traveller thats okay with a place thats a little worn this is the place for you, its not the Ritz. Cheers

We stayed at a lovely Penthouse condo at Rainbow Beach Club. Our unit, 44W overlooks the Carribean and the great private beach. We'd give our condo a 5 star, but the facilities do not appear to be maintained well at all. Our condo also overlooks the ocean side pool ☹️, which is not suitable to swim in. The water level is left below the skimmers, thus bugs, leaves, and countless gnats floating on the surface. The pool needs refinished, and just does not look at all usable. We thought it was closed, but it's not. There were 4 of 3" Chlorine pucks thrown in the pool, in the deep end. Not a suitable way to maintain a public pool. No one was utilizing this pool, for good reason. It's an eyesore, and takes away from what once was a great place.
The elevator for our building was out of service, we were told by a resident it had been out all week. Not a big deal, as we walked to a different elevator, but an indication of poor maintenance. The buildings all need painting, and general maintenance on the outside. Streaks of dirt from drainage down the sides of all building give it a unkept look. Accent paint around the exterior windows are faded badly. Some appear to be being repainted, but no evidence of this as an ongoing update. I'm sure the residents that own these units are complaining, we hope.
Security seems to be good, as they watch those coming and going. The Security people are friendly, although napping while sitting at the beach Access point. The private beach is wonderful, accessed down the spiral staircase. Again, maintenance is needed by replacing the broken stone on the staircase, looks to be missing for some time, at the bottom, but otherwise, a great access to the beach. This appears to have once been a great area of condos, but appears to be in a bit a downfall. Good location, walking distance to some wonderful restaurants. Hoping that the HOA or whatever is responsible for the buildings get their stuff together.

21S (south building) with ocean view, 3 pools (we used one outside our balcony facing ocean) and on private beach (spiral staircase to beach). Our 2 bedroom 2 bath rented with Airbnb with parking was extraordinary. What can I not say? Location great for ocean view. Location great for proximity to restaraunts casino and French side of island. Location great 10 minutes to airport and famous Maho Beach (where planes fly about 30 feet over your head). Location great for options to get around in a car and avoid traffic. Favourite hidden gem is Layla's Beach Bar & Restaurant in Nettle Baie, St. Martin 10 minutes from Rainbow Beach Club. Food 5 stars with a 4 star price and great views of water. A very romantic setting on the beach.
