I visited off-season so my experience my not be typical. The hotel is very well-located, across the street from the SNCF station and just one street over from one of the main streets where many shops and restaurants are located. There is no car parking lot so you must park on the street (not difficult but do pay attention to signs) or pay extra for some arrangement (that I did not pursue). The proprietress was lovely and spoke English well. There is a breakfast option for purchase, but I would skip it: all of the selections are cold (fruit, bread, cereal, cheese, meats) except coffee, which awkwardly seemed in short supply (a small serving of coffee from the kitchen followed by the Nespresso machine which shutdown early); buy some groceries at the nearby Lidl market and have nearly the same experience for less money - but note that the room does not include a water kettle or microwave or small fridge. The room was comfortable, the window actually opens for fresh air, and there is plenty of hot water for bathing. The provided WiFi is free and worked very well. My biggest concern was with the automated hallway lighting system, which left the hall in near-total darkness even during the day, and which was slow to recognize that a person was in the hallway and to activate. This is a security and safety risk when opening a room door - the only practical workaround from inside your room is to switch on the room’s inside hall light before opening the door and then immediately reaching for the hallway manual light switch upon opening the door; otherwise, your phone’s built-in flashlight app will be useful. Also, note that the hotel’s front desk is not 24/hour, which seems reasonable in a small commune like Pontorson.
