As the title suggests, the dirty, tired, dated and super smelly rooms let this hotel down. The hotel foyer, cafes, restaurants are a 4star rating - never been sick, or got sick eating their - breakfast, lunch or dinner. OK this will make you laugh ...... At check-in, the reception staff are quick to remind you that the rooms are strictly non-smoking - RIGHT! So, the first thing you notice when you get into your room, other than the filthy carpet is the strong smell of cigarette smoke, which seems to be impregnated into all the furnishings and linens. Also, when you shower - cigarette butts come floating out from behind the bath. We were lucky to get the AC to work. The beds were hard. No issue with the staff though. Noodle bar was the best thing in the cafe/restaurant.
We stayed at this hotel for one night during a multiple day tour to mount Emei. It was a comfortable stay. The highfloor room was spacious and got a bathroom with a large walk in shower and a corner bathtub with city view.
The breakfast was ok, but the coffee was dreadful.
Good hotel in 5 star type.
We were checked in on 27th of December for 1 night.
The room receptionist is very helpful, i forget her name, she is cute tho. And they are really responsible for the damage of the room like what has been experienced by us at that time in room floor 17 tower 6, the key is not able to be used start from the second entry and even been changed 3 times it was still unable to be use. Then the receptionist give an option to change it to another level of room with help of porter and it’s free, but since the guest were too tired to keep up the luggage and move again, the receptionist decided to ask for apologize and directly came to the room with apples and yogurts as apologize for the inconvenience,
The breakfast was good tho, it has somany variety start from chinese, western. Try the special breakfast like noodle with pork ribs, it is so delicious with sauce added inside the soup noodle.
Infront of the hotel you could find supermall that sell local branded stuff, walmart, MCDonald, Starbucks and etc.
I saw bicycle parking inside which i think is able to be rented to use outside the hotel. But since i don’t know how to use bicycle, i ignore it.
We also got dinner in banquet room, it is so nice when you could be serve to your dinner room just like “BBF” in Korean Series. LOL. The dinner is great and private.
The room has teapot, heater, shower with hot water, hairdryer, and complete toiletries.
The hotel has fitness centre too anyway.
Breakfast Room was very cold. That I remembered :) It was housed in an open area, with wind chills from the lobby upstairs that swept into the basement. Breakfast Room was very very cold!
And breakfast buffet was - I should say - more catered to the locals. We had to struggle to find something we really thought we could eat.
Location - great - opposite a great mall - if you're coming to Emei to shop haha.
But we stopped there for a night, because we wanted to visit Mount Emei the next day. That evening before, we went to watch some Gala Show in Emei - I forgot the name ouch! But the show was like a chinese version of the Cirque du Soleil. With amazing face changing performances of course.
This is a convenient place to stay overnight, if you've combined Leshan and Emei in your itinerary. Because Leshan ad Emei are very near to each other.
Its an OK stay for one night. But if you're stopping for longer, I'm not sure.
Nice place with lots of room. The lobby area is large and places where you can kick back and chill. They have a restaurant downstairs that's OK. Its convenient and part of the hotels perks but there are plenty of places nearby that are really good. The rooms were fine. Clean and tidy, but nothing special. Location is close by to quite a few things to do.
Walmart is an experience in itself.
