Everything is neat and clean, the breakfast and coffee are amazing! Also a complimentary bottle of wine when we arrived, just what we needed after a long journey.

We stayed at B&B Il Callare for 2 nights and we regret we couldn’t stay longer.
The room “Vernazzia” was very spacious and clean, the bed was king-size and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless and enormous. As for the breakfast, there was a pretty good selection of traditionally made jams, juices, cakes etc.
Great Wi-Fi, very friendly host and free parking as well.
Last but not least, excellent value for money. All in all, we absolutely recommend Il Callare!

Good location near Pisa airport, and A11, for staying over. We had a clean large room, with a good bathroom and shower.
Nice breakfast.
Great value for money.
A small pizzeria nearby for late eats.
We were on our way early, to our next destination.

For full discloser this was a very special area for me. Now for the a honest review of this B&B. Should have a car, about 3km. outside the walls of Lucca. Lorenzo the owner was a great host, warm and helpful without being intrusive. Set in the small town of Verciano with a true feeling of Italy. Breakfast was great with high quality products. Could not have asked for a nicer, clean, large comfortable room. Great bathroom, large, super shower, hair dryer, high end products. The grounds and sitting area in front of this great 1700's home (built by his family) was safe, quiet and comfortable. Secure, safe off street parking. I know good Italian food (I was brought up on it) and there some great resturants in the area ask Lorenzo to guide you. If you are looking for a hotel with all the turn down services and such look elsewhere, but if you want to feel Italy with a great host, in a real Tuscan home, great central location to explore this beautiful part of Tuscany don't pass up Callare II. BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK I HAVE FOUND, I have traveled to this part of Italy 7 times in my 67 years and Iam not one to shop price.

I recently spent ten days at the B&B Il Callare. It is very well located, only ten minutes from the walls of Lucca - yet very much in the countryside. The town of Vicerano/Capannori is beautiful and safe. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean upon arrival and remained so throughout my stay. Lorenzo, the manager/owner was responsive and very professional. I highly recommend this property.
