There’s plenty of stuff going on here for the kids. Great pool, tv room, stream with eels that the kids loved to feed. Your across the road from the beach (seems to be a common set up for the kids). Pretty good facilities for cooking and cleaning and even a toddler room for the wee ones to play in.
Worth checking out and stopping here. Only two issues I found was that it’s really narrow so difficult to navigate round and get in and out in a campervan. Also, the spa pool was dominated in the evening with young people drinking/partying which felt a bit like anti social behaviour but didn’t really put us off too much.

Great for families with an awesome pool and incredible eels. The staff are lovely and the cabins and facilities nearby including the beach provide an excellent experience. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning one day.

.An incredible place to spend a few days of rest, steps from one of the most beautiful beaches in New Zealand, great service, you have a heated swimming pool, games, gym, etc. I'll be back anyway, hopefully I can go to the cabins, since we stay in a tent.

Great facilities although really disappointing to see they hire the pool and kitchen out for outside functions when it should be for people staying in the camp. We had 80 people one day come in for a after wedding party and we were even able to get anywhere near kitchen or pool area. They took food out of fridges for their alcohol and took all the tables. Didn't realise it was a facility for outside functions and we also had gear go missing on this day

Dear Timpearce20, Thank you for taking time to review your stay. Yes, we do allow functions to be held at the Holiday Park. The wedding party you were referring to are guests that are staying at the park over several days, they only had 15 more people from the local area join them for brunch. All this guest had to sign in at reception before entering. We wish you would of told us they removed other guest food out of the fridges, we would of happily gone and spoken to them. When we do have a large group bookings, we always ask them to please be respectful to other guest using the facilities.
