We booked the whole Chalet for a group of 20 University Students including mountain bike instructors in July 2017. From the start to finish, the owner ‘Eddy’ was very helpful. He was on call via email to answer any questions and helped point us in the right direction for mountain bike hire, lift passes and places to ride. The Chalet has a lovely set up with different apartments, allowing you to relax in your own rooms and dining areas or you can come down to the big central dining room to socialise. The rooms are fantastic, modern, freshly refurbished, clean and the whole place just has that friendly atmosphere that you long for in the Alps.

La Thuile town centre is very close to the Chalet and has some great bars and restaurants, with some amazing views and not over priced like some places in France. The mountain biking was Enduro based, which is what I wanted. There are some amazing and challenging single track MTB trails. The only problem I found with a big group was that they only had 2 blue, 2 red and numerous black trails. Which was great for the instructors and intermediate group but unlike their French competition they didn’t have many trails to help novices build up to. They were all at the extreme of there rating. With all this said though it’s a great location with Pila and other bike parks in close proximity to bounce around to.

We would definitely book again but would plan the trip better to hit more locations unless La Thuile build more trails at different levels of their grading but as a mountain biker this is a must to visit and tick off.

Thanks again Eddy, your hospitality and approach is refreshing and your Chalet is amazing I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone and he is very Mountain Bike friendly.

Very comfortable appartement with excellent bath room, nice overall comfort. All bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, good living area.
Two points which could have been a little bit better: firmer mattresses on the beds and a dishwasher in the kitchen (remember it's a holiday...)

Thank you for your review and suggestions. Mattresses are a difficult one to get just right. All our mattresses are brand new and most of our guests have said they are just perfect. I actually tried one myself for 2 weeks on my bed before buying them but I do understand everyone has different preferences. Next time you come and stay please remind me you prefer a firmer mattresses and we'll add an extra board to the bed base which should firm it up. Regarding the dishwasher in the kitchen. Both our 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments have dishwashers so I can only assume you were in a 1 bedroom or studio apartment for just 2 persons. We didn't put dishwashers in these as we thought for just 2 persons a dishwasher would be more of a bind than a help to try and run full. If you are in 4 persons I would definitely recommend the 2 bedroom apartments as they are much roomier and each bedroom has it's own bathroom.

A very modern and spacious one bedroom apartment that was quietly but conveniently located. All linen and towels provided, which is very helpful, plus plenty of wardrobe/drawer storage. We couldn't have wished for more and wouldn't hesitate in returning.

Beautiful, well maintained chalet / appartments. Excellent en-suites and facilities. Great location.
Management are extremely helpful and happy to arrange airport transfers, book restaurants etc.
As good as it gets! Hesitate to recommend Chalet Alpina too highly in case we can't get in next year!
