I was lucky enough to get a room at La Fonte, as I booked just a month before my trip. I can now see why this agriturismo is so popular with visitors not only from other countries but from Italy as well. With just four rooms, it instantly offers a degree of privacy and peace that goes a long way in enhancing the Tuscan experience. The property is well maintained and the rooms are extremely clean. My husband and I stayed at 'Il Pagliaio', which was perfect and spacious for two people - it has a large bedroom, a bathroom and a room with a couch, dining table and kitchenette. The facilities within the rooms are very comfortable. Each apartment also has a small gazebo outside, which is lovely to relax in and enjoy sunrise and sunset views from. Katia is a warm and friendly host, and is around every morning and evening. She gave us great tips on eating out and buying local produce to take back home. We also ate at the in-house restaurant one evening and the food was delicious. The breakfast is fairly adequate, and the addition of a freshly baked pie each day is a nice touch. We also loved their house wine and olive oil. La Fonte has a laundry service that's not written about online, but it is very economical, convenient and prompt. Pienza is just a 10 minute drive away from the agriturismo, and the location is also great for exploring the other towns in Val d'Orcia. The personalised service at La Fonte made our holiday memorable. I'd highly recommend staying here!

We stayed at La Fonte for 3 nights and it was better than we could have ever imagined! The farmhouse and the grounds are picture-perfect, almost like a movie. The hospitality of Katia and the family is what makes this place special! We got in later than expected on our first night, and Katia was more than gracious to let us eat a late dinner! She greeted us every morning for breakfast and was on the grounds during the day/evenings. It was fun to experience a small piece of their lives!

Our room was very spacious with a kitchenette/dining area, big clean bathroom and big bedroom. We had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was a spread of local/homemade products (breads, meat, cheese, jams) and Katia was always ready to get us coffee or cappuccino in the mornings. We ate dinner there 2 evenings, and we couldn't believe how delicious the food was! We tried different appetizers, pastas, meats, and even dessert, and everything was wonderful! They had a great selection of wine as well. I would highly recommend eating here during your stay.

The location of this agriturismo is perfect. The views are stunning, and you can see other towns in the distance. Pienza is less than 10 minutes away, and we did day trips to both Montepulciano and Montalcino (about 20-25 minutes). We sat outside during the day and evenings, and it was very peaceful. The family has 2 dogs, and we played with them as well which made us feel even more at home.

If we ever come back to Tuscany, I will not hesitate to stay here again! It was absolutely beautiful!

We stayed at the farmhouse for two nights. Everything about the property was outstanding- quiet, with amazing views of the countryside. You can see the lights of nearby village on the hillside at night. The apartment was spacious, bed comfortable, shower and hot water worked great. Katia and her son Christiano were very accommodating, especially considering all that they have going on at the agriturismo. We had a fantastic view over the valley from our bedroom window. The micro-brewery on-site brews several excellent varieties of beer. The grounds are pretty and peaceful, plenty of outdoor places to sit, and the two dogs, Ela and Dobie, are very friendly and more than happy to accompany you on walks around the farm.

We ate at the farm for breakfast and dinner. Both were outstanding. Everything is fresh on the table, a very wide variety of choices for breakfast, and dinners were just amazing. Appetizers, pasta, secondi, dessert, all were outstanding. They also have a wide selection of excellent wines. The atmosphere in the little restaurant is convivial and comfortable.

The agriturismo is less than 10 minutes drive from Pienza, a beautiful little hill town, and only a little further to Montepulciano. It served as a perfect base for exploring the countryside and hill towns.

Last but not least, we had a problem with our rental car. Diego, Katia's husband, is a mechanic. He even took a look at our car and suggested what the problem might be. He was right- the person before us had put diesel fuel in a unleaded gas car. Proper gas, and we were on our way.

If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Tuscany, we will make it a point to stay here again.

Two couples stayed here for three nights in March in the two bedroom Granaio. The location in the wonderful valley d'Orcia is perfect and the view is amazing. The grounds are beautiful, even in March. We dreamed about what it would be like by the pool in warmer weather.

Our apartment was on two floors with the bedrooms and full bathroom upstairs. Downstairs was a half bath, living area and kitchette. The furnishings and amenities were fine. They helped us get some heat the first evening and all was well after that.

One bedroom had a large (Queen?) bed and the other two single beds. The single beds were with old fashioned springs so if you are fussy that may be a problem. My husband and I were just fine.

The breakfast was wonderful with all you could want.

We ate at the wonderful restaurant all three evenings and thoroughly enjoyed the food. There were good salads, appetizers and pastas. We particularly liked the wild boar stew and the soup with beans. We had toured two local wineries and they allowed us to open our own wine. The beer from their brasserie was very good.

We did some laundry by hand it they have a well hidden but useful clothesline.

Amazing place, close to Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia. One word: amazing.

First the towns. Pienza is a very nice little touristic town, 3 minute drive, but we liked San Quirico even better. And take some time to enjoy the short drive to san q because it is one of the most beautifull roads in Tuscany.

We stayed at la fonte for two weeks with our small children and had a Wonderfull time. The appartments are perfect, wel maintained and we had one with a direct view on the pool and two bedrooms. It was really quit and we spend many days relaxing at the pool and enjoying the scènery.

Great restaurant with typical Tuscan dishes. We almost tried them all and very affordable. Also the wines!! We will return for sure because this agritursimo has everything we wished fore.
