Mixed review on the Warwick. The room was lovely and large, the fitness center well-equipped, great location
The front desk "welcome," especially considering a 4pm check-in time? Unfriendly. A simple "sorry" about the room not being ready would've made the excuse that "we have some large events" easier to hear but didn't get that from Junessa (Julessa?). The larger nice hotels in this area of town seem to host events too.
My family waited in the front lobby with the other late checkins. No excuses for rooms not ready at 4pm. Management: Please get organized and train your front desk staff uniformly! Perhaps because the hotel isn't part of a larger chain/corporation there aren't policies in place for greeting guests? Honestly the room cleaning staff was friendlier than your front desk. At least there was that.
Mixed experience at this hotel --
Pros: Hotel lobby was beautiful and well-kept. Gentlemen running the valet were very welcoming. Room was spacious and well-styled. Fitness center is large and one of the best I have seen offered in a hotel. Location is prime. Complimentary water bottles in room.
Negatives: Service at the front desk was adequate. Staff were helpful but not particularly friendly.
Signage once off the elevator for finding one's room is confusing and senseless (I ran into a couple on the same floor who was as disoriented as I was). Could be much improved.
Cleanliness left much to be desired. Approaching my room, there were dirty plates and food left outside that was not cleared for hours. The entertainment center inside my room also had a visibly dirty surface. There was old urine on the toilet lid as well. I have been staying in various hotels frequently, and this level of tidiness is the worst I have experienced.
Bath towels were low-quality and scratchy. The drain of the tub was broken. The main chair in the room, although stylish, was worn.
I had a great stay for 3 nights! I love the atmosphere inside the hotel. The staff was excellent. The rooms were nice size and roomy and clean and the bed is extremely comfortable! I love the free breakfast and the fitness center! The parking is convenient and there’s so much to do nearby!! I will be booking again for December!
What a great evening we had. We checked into our room and kicked back for a relaxing time before dinner and the theatre! After the performance, we walked back to the hotel, had a night cap, and jovial conversation with other guests.
The room was so spacious, super clean and modern. We had access to the fitness center and lounge for continental breakfast.
Did I mention we are Philly residents?! Yep this was a wonderful treat. We both work in town and thought why travel all the home (after the theatre)? So, a one night stay was perfect. I am definitely going to do this again. Especially since my morning commute was a lovely 5 minute walk instead of a 20 minute train ride!
Hotel is a little outdated, especially bathrooms and the rooms. But OK for a few nights. Is has a great location right downtown in close proximity to nice restaurants. The A/C in the lobby was far too cold, you couldn't sit there for long. The gym is well equipped and open 24/7.
