We book the Allegheny Springs in February 2019 for Roadrunner motorcycle rally: we requested a room top floor, fireplace, balcony and water front. We got everything except the view: we looked out to the pool. I would recommend to request lake front it is alot better view. We arrived on a Wednesday and hardly no one was there: we requested a room change "no we are sold out": are you kidding me there was NO one there.
Parking: horrible: there is a huge parking lot adjacent to the property probably not 20 feet away "it is reserved for the Mountain Lodge". To get to parking you have to walk down 20 steps cross the road and down another 20 steps. To get back it is all uphill. It didn't matter about our handicap tags "park across the street". Lousy. Then we were told "if you pay $10 a day you can park at Mountain Lodge".
The rooms: beds are horribly uncomfortable. Small full maybe queen for two people forget it. Slept on sleeper couch: like sleeping on springs.
Now the resort: it is nice and clean. The pool was a great temperature and even the hot tubs weren't too hot. The location is excellent. The room was nice: fireplace (electric), nice sofa and table, small eating area with good size kitchen wnas refrig, microwave and stove.
The lift down to the boat house was great: saw alot of deer throughout the day. The Snowshoe village is nice: places to shop and eat.
Overall for our first time to Snowshoe it was nice but the parking issue is totally unacceptable for your handicap guest especially since there was a huge empty parking lot to the right. I would stay at a different resort: Seneca looked the nicest with the best unobstructed views.
