We recently visited Snowshoe for the first time and stayed here.

The pros: great location - can ski in/out and right in the village with access to many restaurants and Starbucks. Clean enough (though would have thought daily housekeeping would have been included given the cost of the facilities). Had two rooms with an equipped kitchen and a nice fireplace.

The cons: expensive for what it was but you’re paying for location. Front desk staff could have been more pleasant/helpful. Our room was super noisy - loud even at 12:30am.

Overall - it was fine for what it is. Didn’t spend a lot of time on the room and overall had a nice time on the trip.

Allegheny Springs is in a great location. Right by main lift area and the village where all the shops and restaurants are. Very nice heated pool and hot tub.

We just had a basic room with two queen beds. The room was basic but had a nice view. No mini frig which was a disappointment. No clock. And, housekeeping did not come by for our entire 3 day stay which I found odd.

Overall, it was a very good stay and I would probably stay here again because of location and the pool.

We book the Allegheny Springs in February 2019 for Roadrunner motorcycle rally: we requested a room top floor, fireplace, balcony and water front. We got everything except the view: we looked out to the pool. I would recommend to request lake front it is alot better view. We arrived on a Wednesday and hardly no one was there: we requested a room change "no we are sold out": are you kidding me there was NO one there.

Parking: horrible: there is a huge parking lot adjacent to the property probably not 20 feet away "it is reserved for the Mountain Lodge". To get to parking you have to walk down 20 steps cross the road and down another 20 steps. To get back it is all uphill. It didn't matter about our handicap tags "park across the street". Lousy. Then we were told "if you pay $10 a day you can park at Mountain Lodge".

The rooms: beds are horribly uncomfortable. Small full maybe queen for two people forget it. Slept on sleeper couch: like sleeping on springs.

Now the resort: it is nice and clean. The pool was a great temperature and even the hot tubs weren't too hot. The location is excellent. The room was nice: fireplace (electric), nice sofa and table, small eating area with good size kitchen wnas refrig, microwave and stove.

The lift down to the boat house was great: saw alot of deer throughout the day. The Snowshoe village is nice: places to shop and eat.

Overall for our first time to Snowshoe it was nice but the parking issue is totally unacceptable for your handicap guest especially since there was a huge empty parking lot to the right. I would stay at a different resort: Seneca looked the nicest with the best unobstructed views.

The rooms were kinda packed however room service was good, the lobby was helpful the pool was good and we were close to everything, had a good classic feeling with modern stuff, the best part was we were right next to slopes and the village and there were no noise problems highly recremend staying here if you go to snowshoe

My wife and I stayed here before Christmas. We had a wonderful time. Ski in and out was really easy. Room was very clean and had a great view. Being close to the restaurants was very convenient. Valet parking was a bonus. We hope to go back very soon!
