We are from PA and visit WV every year to visit a cemetery and to sightsee but this is the first time we stayed in Beckley. This was a good choice for our stay. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfy, the bath was clean and the towels were fluffy. We had wi fi and a good TV. We had a good night's sleep as the motel was quiet. There was plenty of parking. The man at the front desk recommended the Mexican restaurant across the street and the food was good. There was a free hot breakfast at the motel which allowed us to get an early start to our day. The price was right and we were happy with our stay.
Convenient to the Interstate, and a better-than-average Econolodge. This is a hotel-style property (rooms open to inside corridors). Plenty of parking, good Internet service, helpful staff, clean comfortable room, quiet comfortable night's sleep, microwave and fridge in the room, plenty of cable channels. Breakfast was just OK (eggs and waffles), but given the rate ($52 including tax), I would gladly stay here agian if I was looking for a good value place to stay. Plenty of restaurants close by.
I stayed at this Econo Lodge on my way back to Florida. I checked in at midnight. Luckily staff at this motel held my reservation for my arrival. Check in was pretty quick and efficient. The room which was in the same building and on the same floor as the lobby was pretty clean and the beds were comfortable. I did find this property as a whole to be interesting. This is a dual Econo Lodge and Rodeway Inn motel. As far as I know, the building that houses the lobby is part of Econo Lodge (even though this is where you check in for both motels). Rodeway Inn rooms are in a separate building. There is a free breakfast in the lobby building but it's advertised as being for Econo Lodge guests only. I ate the breakfast and thought it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had at an Econo Lodge.
If I was ever in town in the future, I would stay at this Econo Lodge. The rooms were pretty clean and the breakfast was delicious.
Last time we stayed we got charged for towels first they said that we missing, then when we told them traveling on a motorcycle with no room they changed it to stained towels and still charged us! We won't stay again!
I stayed there on the night of the 13th on my way to WV for a granddaughter's graduation. This was approximately the halfway point. When making my reservation, I had explained that I was traveling by myself and needed a safe room location. The lady who checked me in could not have been more pleasant. She put me in a room 3 doors down from the desk and the handicap parking was very close by. When asked for a suggestion for dinner and wanted something close by as was very tired, she gave me a menu to Tastings, a food truck in the parking lot. I have eaten at food trucks before but this was amazing! I had the stir fry with pork and he included garlic, bok choy, onions, mushrooms and carrots over rice. It was absolutely wonderful and could not eat it all! The lady at the desk in the morning was equally pleasant and at their comp breakfast who did I see working it but the gentleman from the food truck. Everything looked great but as not a first thing in the morning breakfast person, I only had juice. Would definitely stay there again!
