Nice indoor pool. Stayed in room 110 and we could see the pool from our room. It was across a small grassy area. We could watch the kids from the bed. Decent/usual room. Larger TV than normal. Comfortable bed. Terrible breakfast and the pancake maker was broken. Spotty internet. Evening cookies, but get them early. They go fast and they don’t put out more. Pretty nice staff, especially the night shift girl. Only have a McDonalds, Whataburger, Dairy Queen, Subway, Pizza Hut and Church’s Chicken in Raymondville. Have to drive 20 min. to Harlingen for a restaurant.
Watch your bill. Our rate was different than what I was quoted at the 800 reservation line and the hotel said they couldn’t adjust anything since it wasn’t the 800 line who made the reservation and it was a no cancellation reservation. We still haven’t gotten this resolved! Very frustrating.
Love the modern decor, natural lighting, spacious guestrooms, immaculately maintained; In-room amenities cover all needs for the business traveler. Check in check out process smooth and effortless. Hotel staff pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable. Complimentary continental breakfast offers a variety of delicious options. Highly recommend!
Newer hotel-very clean, modern. Indoor pool w/hot tub a plus. Breakfast choices included scrambled eggs (very good) huge cinnamon rolls, bacon, hard boiled eggs along w/typical breakfast fare. Fresh coffee in lobby w/real creamer was a plus at night and in morning. Downside...toilet in room did not work and reserved room was not available when we showed up- we booked through them too. BUT, to make up for it, they gave us a huge suite which was nice. Overall very good experience.
This hotel is new and is beautiful, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. The room is very comfortable and appears to be clean. I woke up to ants in the center of my bed. When I turned down the sheets, I didn't see them because they were in the center. I left the hotel with welts on my arm. I ask the front desk to come up and see the ants, but I was told that she believed me and would do something about it. When I checked out, I was told by two front desk employees that they were going to credit my night's stay. They didn't credit me, so I made two phone calls to ask about the credit, but each time I was told the manager just left. No one ever called me back. They did give me 300 amenity points. This hotel stay was my sixth hotel in August, which was a busy travel month for me. I only had four hours sleep the night before, so I fell asleep right away. I was awoken at 4:30 am and noticed something tickling my arm. The ants were one thing, but the promise from the staff to reimburse me, and then not doing it, is another issue. This is a lovely hotel and one of the nicest I stayed in during August. I wished I had turned down the bed before I unpacked.
I stayed at this facility while attending a nearby business meeting. The property was easy to find (right off the main highway) with ample parking for RV’s, trailers, U-hauls, etc. The check-in process was very friendly and efficient and the lobby and property grounds were well cared for. Although I had requested a top floor during the reservation process, my room was located on the 1st floor. It had been a long drive, so I just went for it, expecting to hear a lot of lobby noise, people above me, etc. however, I really did not hear any noises outside my room at all which was very nice. The lack of cars in the parking lot suggested that the facility was not very full, which also may have had something to do with it.
The room was very clean and well equipped with all the creature comforts, including a mini fridge and work desk with power stip. The property appears to only be a few years old, is modern in design and has been well cared for. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were stain free. The pool/hot tube was very nice and the fitness center was larger than most with several machines available, (treadmill, stationary bikes, etc.). The business center was “out in the open” and consisted basically of two P.C.’s and a printer. Guest laundry is available for a fee of $2 per wash and $2 per dry and the laundry room was also very clean and well cared for.
The breakfast was just OK, consisting of the normal fruits, pastries, breads, eggs, sausage etc. that you would expect from this hotel chain.
The only drawback is the limited number of restaurants, shopping centers and gas stations close to the hotel. I did notice a few fast food places, a couple of pizza places as well as one gas station, but you are definitely not in a high populated area of town, (i.e. no Walmart, Drug Stores, Denny’s, etc.). Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this property to business travelers or families.
