This place is very nice and clean. Service at the front desk was efficient and friendly. There were two different ladies there and both equally friendly and helpful with check-in and restaurant recommendations.

The room was spotless. Beds are comfortable. In room keurig, microwave and mini frig. They have an outdoor pool and a gym. I didn’t use either, so can’t comment.

Breakfast was very good. Coffee, juice, yogurt, milk, cereal, and hard boiled eggs. They also had scrambled eggs, egg white omelets (very good), biscuits and sausage gravy, bacon and sausage. Sweet rolls, fresh fruit, and an assortment of bread. They had a pancake machine too. Hostess in the dining area was very nice.

Would definitely stay again.

Booking the room through the web site that this hotel is a part of was a big mistake. When I got there I expressed concern over the price. They stated that was the going price, because the proximity to the oil fields. That was not true. I found the same hotel for 120$ less on several other web sites.
The pool and jacuzzi were broken and no one was working on them. It was over 100 degrees. The pool was the key reason I booked there. WIFI was intermittent and week.
The was a general employee attitude of TOO BAD SO SAD.
The breakfast in the morning tasted funny. I was ill all day on the road. Not fun.

Keep your expectations low and you'll enjoy the stay. The hotel room is okay, basic. the pool is clean but the spa doesn't work. Real problem is maid service, what I mean to say is there is none!

When we came in the floors in the entry and lobby had water dripped all over them, just waiting for a fall! Going up to the room: The elevators and hallways really need a vacuum cleaner (30 hours later, all the same crumbs and dirt is still there). We are worried with every trip up and down the elevator, it sounds like a '74 Ford pickup is pulling us up.

In the room, it all looked good. Clean, spacious, and a lovely view of Walmart across the street. And a meat locker to sleep in. We tried to adjust the a/c, finally settled on unplugging the unit for a while. Went down and sat at the pool for 2 hours until the room thawed. All the cool stuff I expect for $130 a night.

All is good first night, luckily we are not in a room near the '74 Ford elevator, so it's pretty quiet. Next morning, we go out for a day trip to the Guadalupe Mountains. I make sure that all trash is in the trash cans, dirty towels and washrags are in a pile under the sink. I try not to leave a mess to be cleaned up, as usual.
When we return, I see that they have been in the room, the bed is made up. Sheets are not changed. I'm good with that, no waste. Dirty towels are gone. THAT'S IT! Ashtrays are not emptied, trash is all still there, clean towels are not stocked, new toiletries are not stocked. I have to wonder WHY they came in our room? Hubby gathers the trash and takes it to the front desk, giving it to the desk clerk. He had to get clean towels and shampoos for us. You would expect that at that point the clerk would offer an apology, but I suppose our bar is set a bit high. No apology offered. When my husband mentioned that customer service includes empathy when there's a problem, she did apologize. Little late when you have to ask for it. We will check out tomorrow. I promise there will be NO TIP left for the maid at this place.

And just as a side note: they are quick to offer the place down the street, Alfredo's, as the best food around. Take that with a grain of salt. It was horrid AND it made me sick. Not heartburn, literally MADE ME SICK. Be careful with that place.

Overall, bypass Pecos TX. The mosquitoes are mean too!

In a dusty town full of oil rig workers. Always full on weekdays, so expect higher prices. Hot hallways, paper thin walls, carbo loaded breakfast. Views are either if the Walmart (noisey) or a field. There is an outdoor pool and cookies in the lobby.

I can't believe this was a Holiday Inn. WORST customer service I have EVER received. Or should I say, NOT received. Sure the hotel was new and clean, but the front desk people are AWFUL!! So rude, NOT helpful, none of them ever smiled, every time I asked a question, they'd roll their eyes. I would rather stay at the Bates Motel than this place. The first day I was here I called down for a crib and the lady said "Ugh... I think i have one that has all the parts. You can come down and get it". ARE YOU JOKING ME?! I have never stayed somewhere in my LIFE where I had to go downstairs to get something I called for. ESPECIALLY a crib!!! When I have a Two year old and five month old with me, you want ME to lug them with me to come downstairs and get the crib while you sit on your but on the computer?! Also we requested a late checkout, instead of 11:00 because my husband has to work in this town all day. The lady said "Well... I don't think we can do that. You'll have to call our manager tomorrow and ask her". The manager was even worse than the other lady we had been dealing with!! She said the latest she could give us would be 12. WHY OFFER LATE CHECKOUT IF YOU CAN'T GIVE IT TO US!? This was a horrible experience. And on top of all of this, the pool wasn't even filled and they didn't offer room service or have a restaurant. We will NEVER come back.
