Overall a good experience but with some discrepancies. The conditions of the two bathrooms were not the best. One toilet wouldn't stop running the water since there were some problems with the flush. We tried to inform the staff about this but they didn't understand. The bathroom cleaning was kind of sloppy. The top hinge of one of the bathroom doors were broke. So we weren't able to properly close it. The lock on this same door didn't work at all. The AC in the living room didn't really do it's job. It just kept on humming without really cooling anything more than 1 meter away. The pool and the pool area was really nice. It wasn't crowded at all, for some hours of the day it were almost empty. Although the opening hours from 11:00-21:00 could have been extended. It would have been nice to take a morning and an evening swim. The staff English skills can definitely improve.

We booked this apartment at last minutes after Monarch drama. It's a bit distance away from all the amenities but local bus outside apartments which make a bit easier. It's not suits you if you got walking difficulties, a big steepy hill to walk. You have been warned! Very dated in the apartment, spacious living room and balcony. Bedding and towels changed every 4 days. You have to clean kitchen and dump the rubbish to outside yourself. No wifi no English tv. Plenty mosquitos. Plenty hot water. Very dirty shower sliding door. Toilet plush leak water made loud noise during our stay. I reported to reception but no one came to fix. Lucky we had 2 bathrooms. Only thing we enjoyed there was the balcony. Most strange thing is if you arrived late and you have to call the number then someone come to give you the keys after you pay him €20. Would not stay there again and would not recommend to anyone.

We stayed here 25/12-1/1 as booked very last minute. As t was Xmas day reception was closed and we were given tel number to call for man to come and check us in. I called Paco while we were in transfer coach and he was waiting when we arrived. Got the keys to big 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment no 28. With bonus sea view ! It was clean and tidy albeit basic. It had everything we needed full size fridge freezer, microwave, coffee maker even a washing machine. Iron/ironing board. Air con unit in living room. T was a bit chilly in the evenings and heating did not go through to bedrooms so used the blankets provided.

We stayed as a group of 6 including 2 kids of 5 and 8. The electrics tripped a couple times as the kettle was dodgy but we changed it at reception the next day. The hot water was not from a combo boiler so we had to time our showers so there was enough for all but not a big deal. The bath was small but we normally shower anyway and it was a power shower.

Location was good. Gated estate so you had to use the key to enter at the main gate. Reception is outside the apartment complex on the road which can easily be missed. They speak English and were very helpful. Bus stop 5mins down the road and cheap to get around. €1.55 to Benalmadena or torremolinos and €1.65 to Fuengirola. 2 little supermarkets downstairs and a hair salon. A bar/restaurant but we never used it. Supecor supermarket a few minutes walk down main road to the left as well as a selection of restaurants. Beach access across the main road.

Sheets and towels changed once through our stay and the cleaning lady came Weds but we were all in our pajamas so gave her day off from our apartment.

All in all a great stay and we would return. The pool is huge and looked great for a summer holiday.

Room was comfy and spacious as well as clean.
Pool was great, big enough for swimming and shallow enough for kids.
Overall experience of Casinomar was pleasant.

Dog fraud wasn't so nice. There is, I guess living, a lady who claimed me for kiling her dog by car. No evidence, no traces of dead dog anywhere.

Onde day she rang my doorbell and start accusing me driving over her dog, which nor my family didnär recall...It did'nt happen.
First she told me dog is dead and there is a police waiting for me downstairs.
I went to dwonstairs, no police, no dead dog. Lady now asks for insurance of car which I refuse to give her without any evidence.
Security cameras she said, so we went to reception to see security cameras they didn't show us.
Lady still refuses to show where this dead dog is, refuses to call to police which was supposed to be there already. Not to mention there isn't any traces of dead dog anywhere. Not in driveway not in my car and the dog...it isn't available.
So, I told her to call the police if she want to solve the problem, until that I'll go for swim.
Obviously I never heard anything from her again...except when I saw her next day outside with the dog! Reincarnation I'm sure.

So, be allerted when someone accuses you of killing her dog.
