Stayed here recently for a long weekend visiting family in the area. The room we had was OK but the sofa and desk chair needed to be replaced as they were both in ruff shape. Breakfast was just barely adequate. Overall apperance of the place is ok. Staff was friendly and nice. Walls are pretty thin as you can hear the TV in the next room as well as your neighbors conversations.
I stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites a year ago and gave it a not so good review then. In that review I stated that the next time I needed to stay in Groesbeck I would try the other hotel just down the highway but this time after reading reviews of that other hotel, I changed my mind and stayed here again. I'm glad I did. This time there were no housekeeping issues like last time and the breakfast this time did have meat (sausage) along with the eggs. The front desk staff were great, as they were last time. Based on my latest experience, I will be back here again.
The room was clean and fresh smelling. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was easy and convenient. I will visit this inn again anytime I am in the area.
We stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of August. The Hotel looked to be nice and clean and the employees were mostly friendly. The front desk receptionist was wonderful. The first night we got there we noticed dirty spots on the top bed covering so we took them off the bed. The next morning we put the sign on the bed asking them to change the beds. We left for the day and when we came back the beds had not been touched and apparently the maids did not enter our room at all. The second morning we placed the signs back on the bed and when we came back the beds had been made but the same top covers were on there because we took pictures of the spots beforehand to compare and see if they were changed. Also the bathroom floor had been cleaned but their were dirty foot prints in the shower to show that it had not been cleaned.
I received an email from the hotel manager after we got home asking how our stay was and I sent him this exact review and I never received an email back apologizing or anything. We payed a pretty good price for this Hotel and if we wanted dirty beds etc we could have cut our price in half and stayed at motel 6! I have stayed at this establishment before on the prior year and it was better then. I don't think I will be staying their anymore which is sad because it was convenient to family members who live on the same street.
I stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites in Groesbeck for three nights while attending a function in town. At first all seemed fine in the beginning (the bed was comfortable and the room was clean) but then then issues arose. When I went to get ice that first night, I found that there was no ice machine on the third floor (where I was staying), only a soft drink machine. I went down to the second floor where there was neither an ice machine nor a vending machine of any kind on that floor. Finally I found the one and only ice machine on the first floor (how inconvenient!).
The next morning I discovered that the bathtub drain would not stay open and I finally wedged the small bottle of complementary conditioner under the stopper so that it would stay open during a shower. It eventually came loose and the tub began filling with water. Much to my surprise, later that day when I returned to the room, which had been serviced by housekeeping (beds were made, towels replaced in bathroom, the tub was still filled with a few inches of water and the conditioner container was floating. I could not believe that the housekeeper simply left it that way! I reset the conditioner container to let the tub drain and this time firmly wedged it in deep so it would not come out. It was still there in that position on morning 3, the morning I checked out (the housekeeper apparently never reported it or if she did the management didn't care).
The hotel had free Wi-Fi but it did not work in my room for more than a minute or two at a time!
Breakfast could have been better. There were scrambled eggs (the kind that come frozen and then are microwaved and put out) and cold biscuits with gravy. No meat of any kind. There also was yogurt, bread, and a waffle machine. Coffee and juice. Dry cereal and instant oatmeal. That was about it.
Next time I'm in Groesbeck I'll try the other hotel just down the road.
