There are numerous mid-level hotels in the same area as Fairfield Inn & Suites. The distance to DFW Airport si less than 10 minutes, and the hotel provides free hotel shuttles 24 hours a day. I found nothing remarkable about the accommodations, but the room was clean and tidy. There is a VIP bottle of water in the room, but at a cost of $3.50 should you drink it. A courtesy bottle would have been appreciated.
There is a hot breakfast included in the room cost. It included bacon, sausage, turkey sausage, cheese omelets, limited pastries, etc. The breakfast area was kept tidy as people finished eating.
In summary, this was a non-remarkable stay, but also a stay that had no problem areas of note.
The hotel was average looking, but it was clean - that is big for me. The rooms were a very nice size suite and had excellent housekeeping. The breakfast was ok for boxed food. The gals at the front desk were nice and helpful.
Then I got home and got my bill and found a "mishap" charge that when I called to check on it she said it would be removed Thursday. I ask why was it added to begin with. I have never seen that done and didn't like it. It was not listed on my bill and I would not have seen it had I not looked at my online statement.
The main feature.... clean... comfortable beds with large space.
Our group of 23 was treated with courtesy and understanding. We were all placed on ground level and we spent a lot of time in the dinning area in meetings or just lounging purposes. The teams held practice in there as well. They were very understanding about the fact that we would be leaving for the airport very early in the morning so they we very sensitive to the fact we would be missing the normal breakfast hours so they made the milk and cereal available for those of us who wanted it. There was also coffee for those of us who really needed it. The pool was small but was not very busy so we had no problem being able to access it. The front desk clerk was pleasant and handled check in very quickly. The rooms were clean and well prepared for us. The beds were comfortable and the room temperature was easily controlled. The facility was conveniently situated close to the airport.
Given an unexpected layover in Dallas, we chose this hotel for price, proximity to airport and having breakfast. We were picked up at the airport by their shuttle. Room is comfortable enough, but the mattress and pillows a bit soft for our liking. There are NO restaurants nearby that we know of. Our shuttle driver offered a couple of suggestions and said he would take us to a restaurant and pick us up later. After dinner we called for a pickup. We were told the driver was picking up at the airport and would be a while. Half an hour later, we called again. I was told that there were more airport pickups and that was priority...no idea when we would be picked up. Disappointing that we were offered a service that was not reliable. Took a $20 cab ride rather than wait for who know how long. Breakfast choices are a good selection. You can make a waffle in the shape of Texas.
The service was good but when we got to the room it smelt horrible and the beds were awful this is definitly the worse Marriott I have ever stayed at. I have never written a review until now because it was so bad.
