Nice older hotel quiet I like the decor of that grand era some might not appreciate the quality of the past . Good for the price . Valet guy Hispanic was so cool so nice and professional and it was hot out . Front desk lady sat afternoon was amazing when we had minor room glitch .the bartender in the library bar was awesome and the guy that worked in the dining room sun mornings was excellent. Staff was amazing it’s not new but very clean tastefully decorated.
This hotel embodies everything good that you ever want or need in a place to stay. The building itself is just gorgeous, beautifully appointed, and convenient to Love Field. The staff—I was treated like royalty! Samuel at the front desk was so cordial and accommodating, professional without being stuffy, and just a delightful man. Carlos, who brought me room service, was just the sweetest man, and that’s what I look for when I’m traveling. Gene in the dining room was so friendly and helpful, and even pointed me toward some sights in the city. Everyone there was awesome, and I felt like I was among friends. My room? Elegant, clean, with beautiful views of the city, instant hot water (Instant, I tell you), and such comfortable furnishings. If you ever have a chance to stay here, DO. I had a wonderful, relaxing time.
We had to be in Dallas for one night and stayed here. The rate was great and he room was really nice for a standard room. Lots of room in and it seems to have been renovated recently. The Library bar is very nice also. Usually they have live music but it has not started back yet. Location is nice if you need downtown on the westside
I’ve lived in the DFW area for many years and always wanted to stay at the Melrose, now part of the Warwick chain of international hotels. I was dreaming of a local overnight a while back, used TripAdvisor’s “Best Value” sort, and there she was! The lowest priced room didn’t have any included extras, but for $15 more, it came with a bunch of them!
I called a few days before arrival to confirm that parking (normally $27!) was included in my rate. Samuel was very pleasant on the phone and I felt welcome and pampered.
The reviews had indicated that the downtown location was unavoidably noisy, and that was true. My room was on the 7th floor on the back side, but I still heard sirens from the nearby fire station and planes on landing approach to Love Field. Thanks to my trusty earplugs and a very comfortable bed, I slept very well anyway!
My room was large and elegant, with an unusual layout. The refrigerator and bar sink were hidden in an alcove, and on the other end, there was an actual closet! The bathroom was all-modern and spotless, with a waist-high separate vanity so I could line up my toiletries. The desk chair and the TV chair (with ottoman!) were comfortable too.
One last unexpected pleasure: When I arrived, the valet took my phone number and keys and then sent a text with my receipt ID. As I got ready to leave the next day, I clicked the link and it automatically asked him to bring the car around. What a delicious high-tech/high-touch feature! Thank you, Melrose!
The room was very clean. Everything sanitized and wrapped. No bath robes :(
No views from the windows because everything was under construction. Room had no shelf in the shower to place shampoo or soap. No refrigerator no microwave. Bar was closed die to covid 19. Parking lot was access controlled, but not monitored to Return upon leaving. Overall it was very nice and I would recommend it.
