I checked all the motel reviews for the area, this was the best. And it did turn out as a nice stay. Clean room, darn comfortable bed, free wifi, room had a recliner next to the bed to watch TV. Somewhat outdated, but the price was great, room was clean. worked for us. I'd stay again if traveling along I90. Location is right along the interstate. Good parking. Gas station next door for refreshments. The locals said the restaurant was good, but we did not eat there.
This is a small cinder-block motel in a very unpopulated part of the state. We had planned to cook our dinner in an instant pot, but quickly saw on the door that there was no cooking in the room. There was a MW in the hallway. We checked with the manager and she said we could cook in the hallway. Quite accommodating. There was a small table in the room, so we huddled up to that to eat our spaghetti. The next morning we ate our cereal/juice breakfast in the room as there was no breakfast at the motel.
The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
There is a Hutch's Restaurant beside the motel, however. There were also many other "rules" on the back of the bathroom door--obvious that this was a hunting location. To us who were not involved in this activity, it was quite amusing. Someone has posted on this site in the photos section. They were not out of line, just "interesting" for the non-hunter.
Have no idea when it had last been renovated, but Wi-Fi was good. We did not use the TV. It was a nice little stop right off the interstate as we headed west to the national parks. Do not expect luxury.
Needed sleep badly, so I exited at Presho because of signage for food and lodging, The one choice, Hutch's, clearly caters to hunters and contractors, as evidenced by the multiple signs requesting boot-scrape before entering, even offering bags to put shoes in. The room was clean, if basic, and bed was quite comfy. Cinderblock walls insured quiet. Hutch's is far from elegant, but a reasonable ($65), safe and comfortable place to overnight. Right next door is Hutch's Restaurant, which provided decent repast and the service station and convenience store in the same parking lot takes care of all needs. Good choice for an Interstate break, for sure.
We had missed to snow storms around us and at 5pm we asked for a room. There was one available. The room was clean with plenty of space. One light in the bathroom did not work. The heater worked well. Free wifi worked well. It was a Monday and the neighboring Hutch's cafe was not open. At the reception it was recommended to look for the bowling alley, where the food was excellent. He gave us all the information we asked for. We were glad to get off the road when the weather turned nasty and very glad to get an excellent night's sleep. I would go there again. The price was $65.
I stayed one night and will stay again the next time I find myself in Presho. The motel is easily accessed from the highway, there are gas stations, and restaurants close. The staff is friendly and helpful. There was no microwave in the room, but there were coffee pots and microwaves in the common hallway.
