So we enjoyed our stay here. Stayed last minute since we cancelled our Myrtle beach trip. Very close driving distance to Sullivan island and Isle of Palms. We also visited Folly Beach. The room and hotel were very clean. The shower was nice and big. The pool is tiny, don’t be fooled by the picture like us. There was no pool furniture so this was annoying but not a deal breaker. Our room, however, was not serviced for the 5 days we were there. We had to go to the desk and get towels and washcloths every day. They said we had to ask, which we did, and they came one day and we were still in the room and we said we would be out in 20 mins. They never came back. We decided to just let it go and didn’t ask again. They said we could put the garbage outside the door which we did. Overall, I would stay again. None of the negatives above bothered us that much. The breakfast was a muffin, granola bar, fruit and water in a grab bag but that’s due to covid. I appreciated the effort! All staff had masks on. Very professional.
With only a couple days in Charleston we should have stayed closer to downtown. Nevertheless, the were a few benefits to this hotel
- Complimentary parking - if staying downtown then we would have to pay for nightly parking
- Breakfast buffet
- Large bedroom with seating area and a mini fridge
- Spacious bathroom
- A little outdated looking
- 20 minute drive to historical downtown
- Outdoor pool was closed
Great long weekend stay withlots of fun at beach, the pool, and also Seafood Festival close by was simply delicious. Breakfast in morning was perfect with choice of turkey and pork suasage, waffles, and fresh bagles.
Great hotel. New, clean, and great location. Loved the outdoor pool (daughter loved swimming under the palms and starts). But let me just say, the staff won me over. My wife, 5 year old, and I stayed three nights. And on the day we checked out, I was struggling in the hallway trying to properly collapse my 'simple' beach tent. I was not doing well. An one of the staff members sat in the hall, helped with the instructions, calmed me down, and figured out the magic twist that made it fit in the bag. It made a huge difference in my mood be for the next 6 hours of driving. THANK YOU!.
Breakfast buffet and area is way too small. Plates, cups and cutlery all out of plastic and cardboard - what a waste and environmental pollution! Hardly any fresh food or juice.
Otherwise the hotel is well situated near Charlston. Room with Queen size beds are generously made for family with 2 kids and all is very clean.
Hotel pool is smaller than it looks like on internet.
