We've stayed at this motel at least 12 times in the last 15 years. Online, the regular price given for the stay was $55 per night. When we got there, with senior discounts, AARP and AAA memberships the price became $71 per night PLUS tax. A clerk would not refund another guest money that was charged a weekend rate for a Monday night so there was no sense in arguing. The room was not clean and needed repair. Toilet paper covered four corner sections of blinds that had broken off. After returning to our room the next evening, we discovered our room had not been made up or restocked, so we had to go to the office to get towels. The following evening, turning on the heat caused the fire alarms to go off as the unit started to smoke. During the entire stay, the toilet would flush every 15 minutes requiring us to keep the bathroom door always closed. This wouldn't seem like a big deal but this was reported to them during our LAST stay over a year ago. In the breakfast room there were cobwebs in the windows that have been there for years. As I was drinking the watered down apple juice, I found 3 dead fruit flies in my cup. There was a dead bug on the floor and it remained there the entire 4 days we were there. This place has gone downhill at a very rapid rate and it's too bad because many of the the problems can be easily fixed.

We stayed one night for Octoberfest.
The first room they gave us smelled of mold and mildew, had stained sheets. They assigned a second room which did not smell, but was dirty with sheets that were soiled and a bloody tissue on the night stand! When my fiance went to the front desk to ask them to please come and see the sheets, the response was, the sheets were changed. She then gave him clean sheets and we changed the bed ourselves. Not good, room also dirty, not vacuumed and sink not clean.

Only giving it one star because you have to!!!
We booked a room to sleep six, got to check in and there was a "mistake" made so they gave us a second room " Complimentary" well the complimentary room was disgusting smelt so bad and had mold all over the curtains not to mention how dirty it was, went down and told them we WOULD not sleep in that room.. Gave us another room only for the one night (we booked for 2) the second room was no better except it didnt smell, still dirty, sunflower seed shells on floor tv doesnt work beds are gross slept with a towel on the pillow and on top of the sheets because of all the noticeable stains,(went out to buy an air mattress because I would not let my children sleep on the bed) bathroom was blah, VERY disappointed and will hopefully find somewhere else to stay the next night I would rather sleep in my car!!! $222.00 to sleep in filth I wish I could post the pictures I took Absolutely disgusting they should be ashamed of themselves that they even say someone cleans .... The only reason we booked the place was a spur of the moment trip over the holiday weekend, not many options available... SAVE your money and aggravation

Since 2013, we have attended the Amish Auction and for years we would pass Cherry Lane with its well maintained grounds, nice pool, and a packed parking lot. Unfortunately we never booked and we moved to Ga 3 years ago. Well this year we got all the family to attend the auction and I suggested we all stay at the quaint Cherry Lane. I made a horrible choice.

We arrived almost all at the same time. Two couples made it there about 20 minutes before us and as we pulled in we saw them bring stuff OUT and putting it back in their cars.

We discovered that the rooms had not been appropriately cooled down and were hot as a firecracker. It was 96 outside and probably 102 in the rooms. They only had very small window units and they could not handle the job. I also learned that the manager had been very rude towards my family and they were leaving for another place in Lancaster.

We also found our room extremely hot and also decided to leave. The rooms also had a very strong musty smell.

The geounda were unkempt with high grass and thw overall condition of the building was bad shape. Needed a coat of paint.

So it definitely did not look tgatcway 3 years ago. I think maybe new ownership has taken it over and is failing to keep it up to standards.

I would not recommend anyone stay at this place. It was a total bust.
