Stayed 3 nights and was amazed at the renovated rooms. The staff were great. Lizzy asked if I needed my room serviced (no, but placed clean towels outside my room), she also showed me how to operate the spa (so relaxing). I was reluctant to have a meal there (after several bad experiences) but it's the only place in town with a kids place area so we booked a table. We totally enjoyed our meals - steak, chicken, roast and kids meal. Well priced and and excellent service. I would totally recommend this venue based on my experience.
we stayed here overnight this december and had the best relaxing time for a long while. Our room was all brand new it was so nice and the dinner down stairs was to die for 10 out fo 10 for us.The staff were all perfect in their roles to make us feel homely....Well done all.....Thanks Mark and sandra
The lighthouse hotel has large rooms with good room service (they make the bed, change the towels every day and have good tea bags)! They also have a good bistro and salad bar. A drawback is having to carry the bags upstairs but it’s not to bad for reasonably fit people.
The room was spacious and nice. There was a Fridge and Microwave. The Wi-Fi worked well. There was free Parking outside. This is a Pub and includes a restaurant and Gaming room.
There was no breakfast included.
The Restaurant for dinner was good and quite reasonable. Would stay again.
The Lighthouse is an old but nicely refurbished hotel.
There is only one floor and no lift so you do have to get suitcases up a flight of stairs. The receptionist helped.
We had quite a nice room with a nice bathroom with a rain shower, but the shower is between the control and the entrance guaranteeing either a cold splash or a hot one as you operate it.
There was no view to speak off but we did have a window. I had the impression that some rooms didn’t.
We had a light dinner in the gambling hall with the inevitable poker machines.
