Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, good location, and decent price. Their hot tub was not hot at all! The pool area is just for kids. No place to really swim. Not sure if I would come back here.
Not one that I would go to for frills this one screams budget stop on your way through town or some place dirt cheap to take the little kids. Pool is 3.5 feet or there about and the whirlpool is the temperature of pee so your kiddos would have a safe place to play despite the fact their parents are broke type hotel
I contacted the manager who said they would really like to contact me on the phone. After emailing and lining up times to speak I have yet to hear from the manager. Horrible experience-and sad that the manager didn’t want to talk about a problem regarding the pool area-where kids could have gotten very sick. My sister in law was visiting from out of town and invited us to see her and my the kids to swim. When we entered the lobby we noticed a large hockey group gathered in the lobby and there was a sign saying the lobby was reserved for the group! There wouldn’t be space in the lobby for others outside of the group but thought it was quite rude to post a sign saying you couldn’t use the lobby-a public gathering space. On the way to the pool we noticed the same group also had the conference room rented out too. We entered the pool area with about 15 other kids who were all unattended, remember that group that had the lobby rented out, reason there were no parents! As we entered the pool we noticed a very high chlorine smell but didn’t think too much about it. Within a few minutes my son came up to me and said he had been coughing and hard to breath since he entered the pool. I thought that was odd but thought maybe he was doing too much. A few minutes later we start seeing kids from the unsupervised group of kids coughing. We started looking around and noticed every single kid in the pool area looked ill, coughing and red face. We get our kids out of the pool and start leaving. As we leave there is a kid standing in the hallway by the door doubled over and coughing so bad-again NO parents around any of these kids. We told the guy at the front desk and he said he would check on it. Followed up with him and he said the chlorine level was fine but the ventilation system kept tripping so there was no air flow. We went up to my sister in laws room to have the kids change and leave the hotel, since there was no other spots for our group to sit around and visit. As we were leaving from the 4th floor we get on the elevator to go down. 3 boys were in the elevator and had hit all the buttons, so we would have to stop on every floor! Again no parents watching these kids! Very frustrating evening and we weren’t even staying there-I would never spend money to stay at this place! As we were walking up to the hotel on our arrival we noticed 3 ladies leaving with their suitcases, which was odd because it was after 7:00 pm-now we know they checked out because of the chaos in the hotel. Again the manager NEVER addressed this serious issue with me even though promising to talk on the phone. Just beware of what can happen when staying here!!
What a wonderful place to stay!
Room was perfectly spotless, staff was friendly and the breakfast was the best we have had in a long time! Close to shopping, restaurants and hospital.
If I was to complain about something I’d like the pool to be deeper.
If you are a Monday-Friday business traveler, this is everything you expect in a Hampton.
The weekend I am reviewing I was there with my family & a large group. It was a big NFL & College Football weekend; we were all excited to be at a Hampton with the beautiful inviting lobby/ breakfast area with the TV’s to do some group food & watch the games. We were there for other events, left the hotel came back, and our room had not been touched. I had to go down to the lobby and haul back an arm load of towels. Not a huge thing but annoying & gross because our garbage cans were full. I am not sure why our room was missed.
We came back from an event and another group had taken over where we where earlier. We rearranged and made it work. At 11:00 a blue or purple hair employee wearing a yellow Bison sweat shirt told us there was noise complaints and we would have to leave the area. This employee handled the situation so poorly. We were not too loud. 11:00 on a Saturday is absolutely ridiculous to a kick a group out. We stayed 2 nights. Room 418
Heater could not keep up.
A pool towel was left on the floor near the heater it was frozen when I picked it up.
Bathroom
Toilet has a hard time flushing.
Ceiling needs paint there is a brown possibly water spot on the ceiling.
Hook on the back of the door broken
Room Fridge loud.
Not the normal cushy Hampton beds I look forward to.
Pool chemicals: Friday night Chlorine way to strong. I have stayed here on business and not even realized they had a pool. Saturday morning my husband felt sick from being in the pool with the kids the night before and from 4th floor near the elevator I could smell the chlorine.
This Hampton is in such a great location; off I-94, near I-29, close to hospital, Costco, great restaurants and many sports facilities.
I don’t like to use this to leave bad reviews but if you are a group; they are not group friendly. There are other Hilton properties to stay at.
