New management took over just before we got there so things could improve; as a result our pre-payment was temporarily lost, there was no one at "reception" just a phone number to call. We chose this place based on price as we were just there for one night to catch a ferry to Great Keppel so from that perspective, it met our needs.
Pros: right on the beach, cheap, fully equipped kitchen, clean bedding, air con worked in bedrooms, small pool, bbq area
Cons: in need of an upgrade, quite time-worn, pool had clear water but a lot of plant matter swirling in the bottom (round pools tend to do that) so didn't appear a lot of attention was being paid to the place, a bit far from downtown so definitely need a car.

This motel has a nice pool and green surroundings with close access to the beautiful sandy beach. The motel itself is not to a very high standard but we found rooms clean and kitchen facilities sufficient for simple cooking. I recommend this place for nice a few days relaxing with or without children. Very friendly management without disturbing your privacy.

Nice place to stay, was very clean in our one bedroom apartment, good kitchen everything is supplied. Comfortable beds. Looked like a new aircon but didn't use it much the lovely sea breeze that goes through is wonderful. Had to clean the BBQ though was a bit dirty. Great little pool, our balcony looked over it. Fantastic access to the beach just a few minutes walking through a lovely garden. Friendly manager Clive made sure we enjoyed our stay.

Facilities were clean and tidy, but really dated. Can do with a bit of a face lift - it cost us $175 for 2 Adults and 2 Children, really good location with direct beach access. Secure parking, bbq facilities and pool were a plus.

A clean and comfortable self-contained stay here in a generous one-bedroom unit with all modern conveniences at-hand. A swimming pool and BBQ area with a 50 metre walk to the Coral Sea with beautiful beaches that meet this property's grassy front/back yard overlooking azure sea and several islands in the not too far distance. We always stay on the ground floor and enjoy beautiful and quiet places as we work all over Queensland selling into retail; thoroughly recommendable with friendly and helpful management in Merrilyn and Clive.
