We spend one night in this hotel . Simple furniture , nice beds , warmly welcome . Nice coffee in the bar .. we pay only 188 rmb for one room .. easy to go . Must go to 15th floor ...staff will provide you many advices
We stayed at the Lete for 3 nights. The hostel is in a good location in an apartment block. There are signs on the street, so it is easy to find once in the correct street.
The staff was friendly but quite unorganised. Somehow they have problems with reservations, we ended up in a different room than reserved for one night.
Cleanliness is mediocre, the hostel is worn down. Rooms are relatively noisey, both from the hostel and from outside. Overall, an OK stay but we would probably not return.
I had a small single room - large closet really, but other rooms seemed to be well-appointed with views. There is a certain amount of graffiti on some of the walls, common to other Chinese hostels. Carpet was worn, but it was kept clean. There are a number of areas to work and relax. The staff was helpful, but most had limited knowledge of English. it is located within easy walking distance of downtown and seems to cater to a variety of travelers: families, adventurers headed out in the boonies, small groups. Good area to eat, but I didn't see an available kitchen. Relatively quiet, I enjoyed my time here. There should be more information on transport options and shopping available. The elevator stops at the 15th floor. The hostel is one floor up. The travel agency on te 18th floor no longer exists.
Staff and atmosphere of the hostel cannot be beat. They are outgoing and seek to help wherever they can. The facilities are a bit worn, the ensuite bathroom smelly and moldy (installation of a ventilation fan might be helpful) and the main living area of our room was so dimly lit that one could not see to read at night without a booklight. While the trash was emptied nearly daily when our room was serviced, the bathroom was never cleaned in my 12-day stay. There was a refrigerator in our room, but it was not connected and smelled when opened. It is doubtful that the water filter in our room has been changed recently, as I became sick drinking it without boiling it. The bed was very comfortable; however, I was allergic to the down-filled quilt which was cheerfully replaced as soon as we discovered the problem. There is no air conditioning or heat, so windows are used to help regulate air flow. When I was there, pollution was a problem in the afternoons and evenings, so bring your asthma inhalers and antihistamines. Despite our difficulties with the room, we enjoyed our stay as the hostel is centrally located to various parts of the city with shops and plentiful restaurants nearby. The roof-top restaurant was also a marvelous plus to anyone craving Western food. They do it well there.
Great location. As a family of four we felt very welcome here and were able to relax in a family room. Food basic but quality and drinks available, pool table good wifi connection. Family rooms good value and some good info from other travellers. There is a travel agency attached and staff were all incredibly friendly - some spoke English
