This was my first experience in a B&B and it was very enjoyable. I was greeted by the interim innkeeper Lynne, who handled check in/check out smoothly and provided information about my stay and things to do in the area. She was lovely to talk to.
I stayed in the Lincoln room which is the smallest offered. It is perfect for a solo traveler but may be snug for more than that. The shower is quite small and would be challenging for a larger and or taller person. The inn is cute, larger than I anticipated but not at all loud. The floors are a bit loud, but that goes with the character and age of the house, which is nice.
I stayed for two nights and both mornings the breakfast was incredible. I highly recommend. I learned a lot about the travelers who were also staying there and that was nice to be able to interact with others.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend the Gridley Inn to anyone passing through. There is also an excellent Mexican restaurant within walking distance.
My wife and I spent one night here in the Harmony Room on a business/pleasure trip. Stephanie was very helpful with history of the inn, and local things to do.
We were very impressed by the cleanliness, size and amenities of the room. Very comfortable bed and incredible sheets!
Breakfast the next morning, was wonderful!!
Can’t beat a restful, quiet night and great coffee and food the next morning.
We look forward to returning in the future.
My husband decided to save us some money and picked the Lincoln Room. We passed by so many beautiful much larger rooms just to enter the smallest room. It was clean, and thank goodness we had small overnight bags which didn't take up much space. The small t.v. was not working properly, and besides a small desk chair, there were no other comfy chairs in the room. That being said, they did provide two comfy living rooms to relax in and watch t.v. or to read. We ate breakfast with another couple, and quite enjoyed the conversation. The breakfast was freshly made omelettes with sausage made by the owner. Unload luggage out front of the house since their actual parking is reached by using the street behind the B&B.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay, our fault that we went cheap and got the tiny room.
We stayed two nights here. Stephanie shared the history of the house, provided options for dinner and directions to the falls we wanted to see. The inn was very clean. The breakfasts were wonderful. She has cookies, soda, water, and tea out all the time. We stayed in the Lincoln room which was a bit small, has a full size bed. A large person may have some challenges with the small shower, but everything worked for us.
My teenage daughter and I stayed recently for a quick overnight trip. The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable - had 2 twin beds. Bed and pillows were extremely comfy and bathroom had all needed amenities (hair dryer, shampoo, lotion, conditioner, soap). Room and bathroom were both clean. Room had small tv and also a bookshelf full of books. Hosts accommodated us with an early breakfast (we had to leave early the next morning) which was homemade and wonderful. Breakfast consisted of any drink of choice, cheese and ham omelet, maple sausage patties, toast and butter, banana choc. chip muffins and fresh pineapple. It was a wonderful way to start our day of long travels and activities. We were extremely happy with our stay. On a side note, the little village also had within very short walking distance an Italian, Chinese and Mexican restaurant.
