I was a bit disappointed given the reviews on this hotel which initially convinced me to book here. The hotel is older and needs some TLC. The rooms are cramped and the bathrooms are small. The tiles on the floor were starting to come up. Try not to get a 1st floor room, you'll either be facing a tall wood fence and building or the parking lot.
I was also concerned about the COVID precautions. The hotel is not doing a daily sanitization of rooms for people staying more than 1 day. Other places I've stayed in during this pandemic are doing the opposite which makes me feel more comfortable.
Masking up seemed optional among visitors here even though the state has a rule that you should be masked up. The pool and hot tub were open and full one night I was here.
Staff in general were ok but seemed pretty indifferent.
Overall, I just didn't feel that this was a good value for the money.
Excellent hotel, very clean, comfortable bed, and spacious room in an excellent location.
Very easy and fast check in an check out
Convenient variety of food for breakfast.
Will recommend and will be back.
We spent one night at the Yellowstone West Gate Hotel. Our check in was seamless and we were greeted with such kindness and a warm welcome! Our room was clean and provided us with a restful evening. The location was peaceful and close enough that we were able to take a lovely evening stroll downtown for dinner and some shopping. I would love to stay here again if we venture through West Yellowstone on another trip!
We spent the night in this hotel prior to our visit to Yellowstone. The room was huge and comfortable, all the necessary amenities were included, refrigerator was a huge bonus, as we bought supplies for our trip. Great swimming pool with hot tub. Safe quiet location. Easy access to park entrance. Plenty of parking. Would stay there again.
This was an avg hotel. They did not seem to get the concept of Covid spread. The lobby was crowded each time I had to pass through it. They had moved some tables outside under entrance canopy but these people were not masked and you had to pass through them to get to the lobby. The breakfast was supposed to be grab n go but tongs, toasters, waffle makers, drink dispensers were being used and shared by guests. Guests were still eating in the breakfast serving room. It was really no different than a pre-Covid breakfast except no fresh fruit.
