Wonderful service , great location, walkable to great places to eat . . Nice breakfast . Clean spacious rooms . 24 hour pool area which is nice . Lots of free well lit parking and good security 24 hours.
Checked in and was looking for a good dinner choice. We wanted Mexican food and Selena directed us to El Jimador. That was very good food. Thank you, Selena!
This is a very nice hotel. Pool and hot tub are very nice. The breakfast was good. The hotel uses real plates and silverware!
After reviewing several choices for BCT graduation I went with Comfort Inn due to the recent remodel as most hotels in area seem dated and expensive for the town they are serving.
My family arrived around 7 on a Tuesday to have a woman named Zoe check me in. As I entered the two gals at desk did not welcome me or even smile. Zoe did not have a name tag but I asked whom she was the next day to touch base on her dry personality in a hospitable environment. She never once looked up and when she did it was because I inquired about the safe fee at $1.50 per night. That concerned me and I asked why this fee is here and Zoe couldn't explain it but the long dark hair gal had too. I asked for the charges of $4.50 to be removed as we will not use the safe. Zoe gave cards and I had to ask about wifi, breakfast and EVEN my room number. I have never had a check in go so bland. Normally they state all the above and make you feel welcome.
Room: 1st floor- out of all my stays in hotels throughout the year I have never stayed on a 1st floor. It wasn't as bad as I thought as our room was a double bed with a borrowed play bed for infant to use free of charge. It was rather small for 3 adults and child. We made it work though. It was clean! I found the lady whom cleaned it was Beth and I expressed to her the great job she does and that's the ONLY reason for the 4 stars! It would have been 2 because of Zoe and the dark haired long hair gal told another guest I was "freaking out" due to small safe fee!!!! WHAT???? Who says that? I am the guest and not your friend. I pay your wages and that kind of talk isn't ok- period! Also housekeeping (Beth) threw out my bar soap that had many uses left. Why throw away good soap to give me another plastic wrapped bar. What a waste. Also there are NO recycling bins in room whatsoever and this hotel uses plastic like its good for the environment. A lot of waste.
The day staff always said hello and smiled and I liked that greatly. When my soldier came the man with long hair told her congrats and was always kind. Pass those smiles and courtesy to night staff. However, the dark haired lady at night did offer a smile but she blew it when she said I was "freaking out". I only asked why the fee and if thats freaking out I'd hate for you to see me really "freak out"-lol.
The AC went out the first night and I borrowed a fan from front desk. The maintenance man came next day but had to come three times to get it running right- thanks.
My family used pool and pool bathroom. That area was fine but the public bathroom really needs a good cleaning as it was really gross the 4 days we were there.
We had breakfast once and it was underwhelming. small area set up for guest to get food but only room enough for maybe 3-4 humans depending on our size to get a few things. Not a lot of options for clean eating. Basic.....
I really liked the cold water with lemon that was filled daily. Have the later staff refill it so we can enjoy it through the night.
When I checked out this past Friday at 8:15am I handed cards to man and he didn't even ask about my stay. I am surprised by this because that is the norm when I stay at hotels. I asked him, "aren't you going to ask about my stay?". sad truth.
Overall I'd recommend this place because the lobby is roomy and tvs are easy to view. And the rooms are clean and bathroom is separate from room for privacy. If you come late at night you may not have a parking spot as the lot is small. No room for big trucks either.
One other really gross and horrible offering is your cigarette disposal tower on side entrance. Thanks COMFORT INN for allowing people to nearly smoke in entry and dispose of that nasty stuff right there. I was in room 127 and that is real uncool. Everyday morning or night somebody was smoking there holding door open at times. I'd figure out a better solution for people who smoke and for the ones who do not- don't make them suffer.
Beth I hope your superiors know about the fine job you do :)
Hotel was clean and well lit. Maintenance was excellent. 24 hour pool and hot tub. Free breakfast. Washer and dryer was an asset on our 15 day stay. Room was spacious and well insulated as we never heard anything from the pool area which we were directly above. Will absolutely go back.
This hotel deserves a 5 star rating. The staff where all super friendly. The pool, hot tub, and gym where open 24/7. The had hot coffee, hot tea, iced lemon water, and ice water available 24/7. The continental breakfast was by far the best. The beds where just right extra blankets and pillows in the closet. A iron, ironing board, straightner, and blow dryer all provided. Was newley updated. We really had a great time here.
