The premises were clean, tidy and comfortable. The car park was well lite at night and staff upon entry to the building were polite and helpful and provide 24hr cover from the reception point. Access to the accommodation block (from reception area) and to your room is by using your coded key card which you place in a wall holder inside the room to activate power to lighting.
The room was clean and tidy and laid out ready for use. There was tea and coffee for a couple of drinks (we always bring extra) and the kettle was empty and clean as were the cups and glasses. The telephone had been removed due to Covid precautions. The bathroom was also clean with sufficient towels. The toilet tissue and soap dispensers were a neat touch.
We took advantage of the meal-deal offer and used the Horse & Jockey restaurant located next door. Although staffing is low due to the current economic situation. We found them to be friendly, polite and helpful. The menu has been reduced to suit the current situation. Service could only have been quicker if there had been more staff and the food we had was well presented and tasty.
Once back in our room it was into bed and probably one of the best nights sleep I have had. The bed is amazingly comfortable.
Breakfast offered next morning was as much or little as you choose to eat and it was cooked well and not greasy. We had time to chat to staff who were cheerful, positive and clearly enjoy working for the company as well as serving us, the customers.
This is the second time we have stayed at this location within 14 months and although the world is a slightly different place, it felt warm and inviting.
We will be back in the future.
My party stayed here for 7 nights as one of our staycations this year, with our aim being to use this hotel as a base to visit the local area by car on day trips.
On arrival and checking in we were given a warm welcome with all the Covid-19 secure information needed for our safety and the safety of staff and other guests. The room was very clean on entry and we were lucky enough to have one of the rooms fitted with air conditioning meaning we could adjust the room temperature to a comfortable level.
Every staff member day or night at the hotel was very friendly and helpful so we were highly satisfied with the service and cleanliness of the hotel throughout. Whilst there is no restaurant at this hotel next door there is a TableTable pub providing food and drink which was convenient and we did use on a few nights of our stay. Free on site parking is also a benefit if staying here compared to anywhere closer to a city centre.
The hotel location is ideal for access to London, Woburn Safari Park and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo and the value for money staying here was far better than any other hotels in the surrounding area. We also went further afield into Oxford and Cambridge which are just an hours drive away.
I would definitely stay here again for access to the local area travelling by car for the sheer value and Premier Inn standard of service you get.
Fantastic staff made us feel very welcome and very friendly over the weekend. Would recommend staying here. We stayed for two nights.
Bedrooms were great size, very clean.
Brilliant layout with the current situation.
Very pleasant. Clean room. Comfortable. Pleasant staff. Breakfast has a good choice in the pub/restaurant connected to the hotel. Location handy for the motorway & places like Milton Keynes & Dunstable.
Stayed overnight in Dunstable A5 Premier Inn Hotel after a funeral. We always stay at Premier Inn when travelling they are usually clean, well run lovely comfortable beds and reasonable prices. We have not stayed at Dunstable before , it wasn’t one of our favourites and probably wouldn’t stay again if we had other choices. The hotel does not have air conditioning, a wall heater in the winter and a fan for the summer. Unfortunately I struggled to get the room to a suitable temperature and it shut off overnight so we were cold in the morning after a particularly cold night with frost on the cars. The breakfast and evening meal were both good and a good price. However there signs all around the hotel of wear and tear there were broken steps and unstable path to the restaurant made worse in the dark by poor lighting. Nothing a good amount of diy and money spent on the hotel wouldn’t fix but I have to mark it relevant to my stay. One other helpful point if you choose to stay here is you need to put your room card in an electronic slot inside the room by the door to switch on the power, we were not told so we’re left floundering for a while. Not up to Premier Inns normal good standards this time I’m sorry to say.
