It’s tough to find an interesting place to go in the dead of winter, but we’re glad we chose New Ulm and Bingham Hall for our midwinter getaway. Shannon and Todd are perfect hosts, accommodating but not intrusive. The room was so cozy and the house is close to everything.
This is one of the nicer areas in New Ulm, very walkable to the downtown attractions, but quiet at night. The house has been redone in proper late 1880s style and the layout is good for all the rooms. We stayed in the Elijah room which has an enormous jacuzzi in the bathroom, almost too big for two. Breakfast was good with lots of fruit.
Bingham Hall is a 5 star Bed and Breakfast. Shannon and Todd are great hosts and go out of their way to accommodate your every need. They give you their cell phones and ask to call them if you need anything, Shannon even offered to drive while we followed her to the local emergency room as we had a minor medical need. Because the Lind House was not open while we were there, she arranged for us to have a private tour.
Bingham Hall is centrally located in New Ulm and is within walking distance of the downtown district. The rooms are beautiful and clean and the breakfasts are amazing. Fresh cut bacon that we do not get is Southern California.

We stayed two nights in the McKeeth Suite; bed was comfortable and the suite was clean. The suites are air conditioned. Todd and Shannon are great hosts and obviously enjoy interacting with their guests. The breakfasts were very tasty as well (Stuffed French Toast, Belgium Waffles). We really enjoyed talking to Todd and Shannon about the homes along German Street and their history. If you are looking for a place to stay in New Ulm, this is the place!!!!
We recently stayed in the Elijah room at Bingham Hall. The room was lovely, large and very comfortable. The fireplace was delightful on a chilly evening. The entire place was lovely and beautifully decorated but still felt so homey and comfortable.
Shannon couldn't have been a better hostess. Before we even arrived we got hopelessly lost due to many detours that were poorly directed getting there. I finally phoned Shannon and we stayed on the phone with us giving us turn by turn directions to the property. From then on it only got better, She and Todd made us feel so welcome and were ready to meet our every need. Her breakfasts are to die for. We would DEFINITELY stay there again!!
