From the moment I walked in I knew it was not going to be a good experience. The young man at the desk was on his phone. He seemed agitated that he had to pause his conversation to check me in. The lobby and entry area were clean, but not exceptionally. I stayed in Room 143. The carpeting in the hallway was dirty, with dust accumulated along the wall edges. There were cobwebs in the corners of most every room door. My room had not been thoroughly the vacuumed. The bathroom was clean, but again, not exceptionally given COVID. The room had a musty smell. The breakfast was standard budget hotel fare: egg patties, sausage links, and cold biscuits and lukewarm gravy. There were stray cats in the parking lot. This stay was a huge disappointment. I will not be staying at this particular location again, and will do more through research before staying at any other Baymont by Wyndham property.
we needed a place to stay while on our way to TN and stopped here for the night. we read a lot of reviews prior. it's a decent place to stay, clean, well lit parking, near restaurants, Walmart, and I75 and 192, breakfast included eggs/sausage/biscuits/cereal/bagels/toast/juice/coffee, shower was hot, bed was decent. no complaints. the only thing I'd be cognizant of is when you shower the bathroom doesn't have a sufficient exhaust so the condensation drifts into the room and the floors are laminate so it can get slippery. wasn't a downgradable issue for me but just be aware for those who have ambulatory issues.
The staff were friendly and helpful . The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The pool looked great although we didn’t use it. It appeared that the hotel was a economy level that was trying to upgrade. Extra towels, blankets, luggage racks, bathroom supplies would elevate the experience.
Very nice stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a service dog and old non-service dog traveling with us. On check in they gave us two welcome pkgs for them as seen in the picture for the girls.
We stayed there because they actually served a hot breakfast (including eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, breads, cereal, yogurt, juice, milk, coffee but waffle maker wasn’t available yet) when most other hotels still only offered a grab and go bag (due to covid 19 limitations). We took our food outside and ate it at a table by the outdoor pool (which was open for less than 10 people at a time). Although the hotel was undergoing a remodeling process and some parts were still needing to be completed, we appreciated our newly remodeled room (blue walls with grey hard floors) and remodeled lobby. It was fine for the $64 price. When we checked in late at night, the desk attendant Tiffany was very helpful and attentive. She described my room options with a map (with outdoor or interior entry options) & worked hard to meet our needs. She even gave us a package of donuts at check-in. Although it was late night, she asked us if we wanted any cookies, and she baked my family some freshly baked chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. She also let my son have some cereal from the breakfast area We appreciated the hot coffee with flavored creamer and flavored tea options too. The breakfast attendant was helpful and friendly too. She promptly refilled the cinnamon raisin bread when I mentioned it was getting low. She asked if we had enough food. When we checked out, we received a water bottle. (Special gifts may be due to our Wyndham rewards member status?) Hopefully the remodeling will be completed soon, as some areas are still older and need to be refurbished. But the service was excellent and we appreciated their attentiveness to our questions and needs. We enjoyed hiking at Cumberland Falls about 30 mins away.
