Very nice and large property. Service was spot on and fast. No issues parking, room was very clean and spacious. Mutiple pools to select, including the ocean. Will stay there agaian.
P.S. Great air conditioning as well
First time staying here and we will definitely be back!! The resort is absolutely beautiful and well kept. Staff was polite and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. We stayed on the beach side by the splash pad and highly recommend this area. I don’t think I would ever book in a room in the garden section. We loved just walking out and letting the kids play while the adults talked. Kids rode bikes, went on the paddle boards and fished. It would be nice if the hotel had poles to rent.
Only had one issue - half way through our stay some very LOUD and rude neighbors moved in next door. We had three rooms - all with kids in our group. These people were literally blaring their music, smoking and being extremely loud. We called the front desk twice and security did handle it. I understand it’s the Keys - but come on, this is an upscale, family resort. It was just ridiculous.
I do think the resort should have grills throughout the property for use. We did rent one from the resort - $75. A little steep in my opinion.
Regardless, I highly recommend this resort and we will definitely be back!!
Great location/nice property. Resort fee is waste of money. Restaurant is closed, breakfast is lame, can't walk on pier or sit on lounges on beach at night, security sends you to your room. Understand housekeeping is gone due to safety, but what am i paying $200 p/n for, use of a room? all 3 toiletries in the tiny shower were empty.
Cheeca lodge is next store for same price and is a better value. I stayed in room 123. Use of a bicycle or kayak in the broiling sun for one hour isn't worth $30. I suppose if you had kids and wanted to hang out in the pool you would like it more.
Ever since the first time I drove by the iconic sign, I have wanted to stay at The Islander resort. I was not disappointed! This resort is gorgeous! Lush landscaping makes you think you're on your own private island. The private beach is nice and clean and quiet. The pool is beautiful and there are just enough trees to give a little shade but still let through that warm Florida sun. We visited during the global covid pandemic and the Islander gets an A+ for their health and safety precautions. There were signs everywhere with the rules of the resort and health tips to stay safe. The staff was very friendly and everyone wore masks. Those handling food or pool towels wore gloves. Their restaurant was closed but the food we got at the pool bar was delicious! We parked right in front of our room which is always a bonus for me. Our room was incredible! It was so clean and smelled so good. The bed was very comfortable. Lots of storage room for your luggage. There was a small table and 2 chairs inside that was big enough to eat at comfortably but far enough away from the bed so we didn't bump into it. Nice, big, clear picture TV. Enough room in the bathroom for one person to move around comfortably. Our own private, screened in patio just topped it off! Nice size table with 4 chairs and a ceiling fan with a breathtaking view of the tropical landscaping you can find all over the resort. We can't wait to go back. The Islander is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. We got a great rate for the time of year we went and it was totally worth the money. We're already planning our next trip!
Took my son for his birthday to this resort for 2 day get away. It was such an amazing time! The resort is gorgeous. For covid everyone wore masks and social distanced. My room was set up so nice and clean. The pools were so clean and refreshing. I loved that we got an hr free of riding bikes. I have recommended many people to go there and I will definitely be back for sure! I loved it so much and my son had a great birthday experience!
